Lynch cleared by the tribunal for his throat punch on Hurley. Another fine by the MRP would have seen him suspended under the three fines and you’re suspended policy. Was he sent directly to the tribunal to be cleared and avoid another fine, therefore avoiding a mandatory suspension?

I'm still wondering how he wasn't already suspended.

He had the fine from earlier in the season after pushing Witherdens head in the ground, then got two $1000 fines for striking Witts & Collins.

    Witherden, Witts, Collins = three.

Did they only count the latter two as a single offence 'cause it happened in the same game? ?

  2. Ok...  win last 6 all by 50+, and threw in an upset loss for Brisbane and Port.

    Better?  ?

  3. Sorry if already posted (Edit - yep, it was ?), but now all fixtures are up we can finally play around with this...

    https://predictor.squiggle.com.au/

Tipping us to win all remaining games and auto tipping the rest, I came up with this:

                            W L D
     1. Port Adelaide 13 4 0 127.5%
     2. Brisbane Lions 13 4 0 124.3%
     3. Geelong 12 5 0 137.0%
     4. Melbourne 12 5 0 122.7%
     5. Richmond 11 5 1 125.4%
     6. West Coast 11 6 0 116.1%
     7. St Kilda 11 6 0 105.8%
     8. Collingwood 9 7 1 111.9%
     9. Carlton 9 8 0 103.1%
    10. GWS 9 8 0 96.8%
    11. Western Bulldogs 7 10 0 94.1%
    12. Gold Coast 6 10 1 89.2%
    13. Essendon 6 10 1 85.6%
    14. Hawthorn 6 11 0 91.2%
    15. North Melbourne 5 12 0 86.8%
    16. Fremantle 5 12 0 82.5%
    17. Sydney 5 12 0 81.6%
    18. Adelaide 1 16 0 56.5%

    Then finals... ?

    QF1: Port Adelaide v *MELBOURNE*
    QF2: Brisbane Lions v *GEELONG*
    EF1: *RICHMOND* v Collingwood
EF2: *WEST COAST* v St Kilda

    SF1: Port Adelaide v *RICHMOND*
SF2: Brisbane Lions v *WEST COAST*

    Speaks very well does Gus.

If you have time and haven't already seen, check out the "Captains Run" videos they put up each week on the club website.

Co-hosted by Max & Gus and they are both really good.

Episodes range from ~40 - 60 mins and they talk about what is going on around the club, upcoming or just played matches, have a news segment with Ben Gibson and speak to past players.. etc

Another huge game for us. A win and we go 4 points up plus 20+ % Infront of the dogs whilst being a game behind them. Would make it near impossible for them to leap frog us on the ladder given they will only have 4 games to play to our 5.

If Gawn is 100% he comes in if not and other week off. I'm sure we will rotate another player or two.

Will be a cracking game next week

In addition to this there is also a fair chance both the Bombers (v Tigers) and GWS (v Eagles in Perth) lose next week, so if we beat the Dogs that'll create a nice gap between us and ALL of our closest competitors.

Nope, nope, nope, nope, nope. He’s really starting to show his value in our team (when he is played in the guts). Yes he is an extremely limited player in that he is one of the least durable players’ in the league, but he just excels so well at his preferred position, it would be ludicrous to trade him.

    Do you mean one dimensional?

Cause if not, he's barely missed a game since coming back from his concussion issues.

Is this Collingwood's Prelim Final tonight

After Adelaide they have us, North, Brisbane, Suns, Port and Carlton

They need to win at least 4 which would put them at 9.5 wins (they drew against Richmond) or even 5.

Lose tonight and Saturday will be massive

    Go the Camry Crows !!!

Pretty risky by the filth, resting Moore & Reid when they are already missing Howe, DeGoey, Treloar, Pendlebury, Elliott & Hoskin Elliott.

If Adelaide can get up tonight, and we can take the filth down on Saturday, we'll be in the 8 on Saturday night.

    C'mon Crows!!

Does anyone recall the names of the 3 umpires that destroyed us last week?

I do. They are the exact same 3 umpires we have today. I don't think I've ever seen that before. So essentially AFL house was pleased with their efforts last week, so it's only going to be far, far worse this week.

We don't stand a chance in this game, and it's got nothing to do with our skills or effort, or even gameplan.

If you are so inclined, you can view the umpire appointments for current or previous rounds here:  https://aflua.com.au/umpire-appointments/

#31 was the worst of the three in our game last week. Hopefully he has received a bit of 'feedback' re his performance

  9. With Viney out now is a good opportunity for Harmes to remind them that the 2018 version is far superior and more valuable to the team than whatever they've been doing with him since.

We are not a top of the table side that has the luxury of being able to take players away from their best position to experiment with them elsewhere.

I like the way we let the opposition know so early every time we have an injury

Mighty neighbourly of us. We like helping them in their prep

I briefly popped into a Norf board and they were all calling for Goldstein to have a rest.

Maybe they'll take the opportunity now

  11. Just on the Quaynor incident, it's amazing how much damage was done for what looked like fairly innocuous contact. A scratch with a bit of blood I'd have understood, but this was a deep gash like he'd been slashed with a wood splitter
