PREGAME: Rd 08 vs West Coast
Sorry, Left Turner out of line up..He's in for Jefferson Sorry, Left Turner out. He's in on the bench for Jefferson, rotating backs and forwards BTW. What's with Jefferson's hand? It'll be 5-6 weeks by next Sunday. Omitted from last injury list.

PREGAME: Rd 08 vs West Coast
Sharp had 4 in the last quarter by comparison FWIW. In my team Fritsch stays FF, Petty CHF JVR needs to get goals or assist from general play before returning. Set shots in reserves not enough to warrant return cos reserve backs arent much markingoppostion. Appears to be lumbering in general play. Not good at ground level. He seems to clutter the forward line leads straight but not able to dip and dart around or change direction quickly enough. Won two straight without him. Melksahm.is experienced and can mark high as can Kozzie. With Fritsch, Melksham Jefferson as mid-sized talls and Petty the main tall, forwards are flexible and mobile. Petty is a confidence player great mark but can get the yips kicking. If that happens can swing him back for Turner or MacDonald, both proven marks and forwards Turner in plays back, to swing forward if Petty not doing it and given time..not in and out Kozzie to do his thing as mid or forward Viney primarily tags best opposition mid. This week Reid Tholstrup needs to go to reserves and rip it apart...Living on faux reputation at present. Doesn't compare to Langford or Linsey at all. Melksham, with experience and footy smarts is in our best team at HFF takes Kolts place this week Sharp remains sub Rivers plays Half back, not doing it as mid, as should Windsor..both to run and carry and when they have it, the running and overlap kicks in in various unpredictable chaos directions Salem and Bowey remain the distributors May doesnt kick it out. Provides pack mark target with MacDonald or Max if required from kick out when no solo target in space and marks his man. Bowey/Salem kick out as distributors. Then May back to last line of defence Pressure forwards Pickett, Chandler Sparrow Spargo Langton and Lindsey wings In Melksham Jefferson Out Tholstrup Fullarton Lineup: Bowey May McVee Rivers MacDonald Salem Langton Oliver Lindsey Chandler Petty Pickett Spargo Fritsch Melksham Gawn Petracca Viney Langford rotating centres/ halfforwards Sparrow rotating centres/ halfforwards Windsor rotating centres/ hallfbacks Jefferson rotating half forwards/ff Sharp sub No clear 2nd Ruck..maybe Petty with Jefferson to CHF while that happens and MacDonald when it's back Hmmm??

POSTGAME: Rd 07 vs Richmond
Yes, it was he or Bedford at the time. I thought Bedford's pace should have given him the edge but now I'm happy. He's really developed over the last two years. That double effort for Trac's goal should be venerated.

PREGAME: Rd 07 vs Richmond
I agree I agree. Very doubtful May will ever get his body right again to play consistently. They need to get serious about going beyond the May Lever backline. JvR could perhaps go back where he has the game in front of him.knockingthe ball out and marking...maybe to get back into form or maybe as a KPB. Moore started as a forward at the Pies and later found his niche as a KPB. I don't think JVR has the mobility or aerial balance and recovery to twist and turn that is required for a dominant forward. Neither does he work well at ground level. He gets a few frees but has never played a dominant game changer..Max 3 goals.. Try him back.

VOTES: Rd 05 vs Essendon
Grundy,Jordan,Bedford,Hogan, Jackson,Hunt, Harmes, Howe,Nibbler,Baker Of those Grundy, Jordan Bedford Hunt Harmes and Baker were forced out due to lack of opportunity . They would have stayed if.... Hogan need love Howe was played out of position and chose to leave. Hunt had 16 possessions this week and 300+ metres gained Jordan has cemented his place in a far better side Grundy could have rucked and Max could have provided a target at FF..he marks everything but Max was selfish. Who is running player development ? Who enforces contracts?

PREGAME: Rd 05 vs Essendon
I don't think rushing back a player from a broken hand is smart at all. Six weeks for fractures and hands are tricky. They did it with Oliver last year and it didn't go well at all

PREGAME: Rd 05 vs Essendon
Yes, Jordan was solid not give time to cement his place ..too often the sub. Bedford was fast and hard, not given a chance. Chandler got the nod, and Harmes, premiership player for Billings., well, Billings was a reject...why on earth would they pay for him...money down the drain. We need pace because we simply dont have those players running past the marker to move it on. Just doesnt happen. Brown needs to be an in this week

POSTGAME: Rd 04 vs Geelong
Petty...out not up to AFL...soft..slow..trade him out JVR..out..not up to AFL..is a real stiff...unless he stars in VFL, trade him out to Perth Spargo....1 touch very dubious another chance must start the game Sharp...out....not doing it yet.. needs to star in VFL Henderson....marrieds to lift in VFL..out Rivers...out....needs to regain form in VFL 5 outs 5 ins Fullerton..in Lever...in MacVee..in Jefferson ..in Lindsey.in Why didn't Langford start in Round 1 Performed well in North practice game That was a bad, bad decision..He's in and we win that one and he plays Rnd 2 Starts Rd3 and cleans up Whoever is responsible for that decision needs to be shown the door forthwith.

Yes on.both counts JVR not doing it...enough chances. Petty is a one trick pony..Can hold a few marks ..when he's on but TOO SLOW and can read the play

Hit 'em Hard and Hit'em often and do it with..... 110% Guts and Determination for 110 minutes!!!- PREGAME: Rd 02 vs North Melbourne
No worries...it was always a "thereabouts comment" but I was always a fan and do remember extensive time in the twos so highpicks playing in the VFL is not necessarily harshand am hoping Langford reaches his full potential..maybe lose a couple of kgs, gain pace muscle tone, and defensive skills..I am sure they look at the draft for potential ... Oliver shot up the ranks in his draft year and was in it almost as an unknown..was chubby to say the least!!- PREGAME: Rd 02 vs North Melbourne

Re. Forward line Agree. Fritsch is best close to goals. He's a true forward, and has a great balanced mark and recovery for second effort as qell as snaps and set shots. An opportunist.Should not have been sent back as backup defender..Bad decision With physicality of AJ... he should get more opporunities Sparrow should play within striking distance but given freedom to move up the ground...is a good long kick for goal .Played Well JVR disappointing Do like Turner as a lead ..to come back And, other comments. TMac is in our best 22... Can't beat experience and can go forward Howes pretty ordinary defending against leading forward TMac always ahead of him in selection Didn't see the run and carry from Rivers..I reckon with two doing that in tandem Rivers and Windsor, and wingers Lindsay and Langton we would have a good weapon for fast movement into the forward line.. Debutantes all pretty serviceable .. 🤣- MATCH SIM: Saturday 8th March 2025
