Yes of course it is. You realise his dad has cancer. You realise all his doctors, his mates, his support staff are up north? Are you going to help him find a new house, a new doctor, a new support base, new mates etc just to improve the team? Some people really don't think. It's not just about football you know.

The whole reason they declined (stupidly) is they want a high pick AND a ready-made player in the Aish/Hanley/Redden/Mayes mould. Good on Brisbane sticking to their guns.

Leuenberger/Martin supplying Rich, Redden, Beams, Rockliff, Hanley, Aish, Mayes, Taylor. Wow. Full credit to them. They were ripped apart by the 'Go Home 5' but absolutely picked the eyes out of the draft last year with Aish, Taylor, Gardiner, McStay, Cutler, Robertson. Melbourne desperately needs a similar draft haul this year.
