The Debut of the Ginger Ninja?
Watch the presser: http://www.melbournefc.com.au/video/2018-07-04/media-conference-simon-goodwin He only mentions Baker because he was asked specifically about him, but also mentions theres a few things he needs to still improve so I don't think he'll get a game this week. He later on says there's a few players at VFL level putting up their hands for selection. Those media quote's can be very misleading at times without the context.

Changes v Fremantle
He was 2 weeks ago with a head cold but he’s all good now

Changes v Fremantle
Dec played on Cox a couple of years ago and dominated him (but that was before Cox was good) He definitely has been able to play well on the taller players. Im trying to stay out of all the talks of him being a possible inclusion because we think it’s a real possibility and I’m just hoping he gets the gig. My excitement is already building, I’m trying to keep a lid on it so I don’t get disappointed if they don’t play him but he really deserves a shot and I think is the clubs best choice to fill the Lever void right now.

Changes v Fremantle
I say give Keilty a go over Petty. Dec is a mature age recruit who has been playing VFL for 4 years now and has been in good form. I don't think he would've looked anywhere near as lost as Petts did out there today.

POST MATCH DISCUSSION - Round 15
Give Keilty a run, Frost has the experience but Dec has been playing better plus as a mature age recruit whose been at VFL level for 4 years now I don't think he'll look anywhere near as lost as Petty did out there. How the hell we came to within 2 points I'll never know, good fight back in the last quarter but just horrible.

Essendon VFL v Casey Demons - VFL Round 13
He was out with illness I believe (just a cold or something minor)

Essendon VFL v Casey Demons - VFL Round 13
Don’t pay too much attention to the Best’s that come from the VFL website, most of the time they seem a bit off. Wait for the VFL report to appear on the Melbourne website, they seem to usually be more accurate. I say this even though Dec was given BOG and I’d like it to stay that way haha

Essendon VFL v Casey Demons - VFL Round 13
Have just finished a night shift and I’m going to bed so I’ll miss the live action of the game but hopefully it’s a good one for the boys, keen to see how Bernie will play as well as Keilty coming back from illness.

Round 15 Non MFC Games
How good is Daisy Pearce!? That comment about Richmond’s defensive set up was more helpful and insightful than anything that other commentators would say tonight

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - HARRISON PETTY
Congratulations to Petts on his debut this week, a fairly high draft pick who looks like he will build into a great KPD. Hope he tears it up.

Changes v St Kilda
Just a hunch.

Changes v St Kilda
Petty to debut this week, mark my words. Has been playing well and been an emergency so he has gotta come in.

Casey Demons v Coburg - VFL Round 12
Don’t know about Scott but Keilty had a really bad Cold throughout the week (they even sent him home Tuesday) but he’ll be right for next round
-
Casey Demons v Coburg - VFL Round 12
Hutchins forward and Pedo down back? Is that because they are testing to see if they can bring Peds into the seniors as a defender maybe?

Casey Demons v Coburg - VFL Round 12
Keilty out tomorrow with Illness
-
Casey Demons v Coburg - VFL Round 12
Casey at home with a very strong lineup, 100+ point victory guaranteed.
-
Changes v Port
Yeah I think so. He was the Top under 18 defender in the SA leagues before being drafted and I think he’d be able to step up well, especially in his home state
-
Changes v Port
For those discussing possible defensive chances, Petty is a much stronger chance over Keilty this week, Petts got a mention in the presser and Decs crook

Round 13 Non - MFC Games
This is absolutely woeful by the Blues
-
Casey Demons v Collingwood VFL - Round 10
That’s his game though, not huge possessions. Very similar to OMac
-
Casey Demons v Collingwood VFL - Round 10
Should be a decent game but Casey at home with ~16 AFL listed players plus some good VFL talent should be more then enough to knock off the Pies. Watching the defenders over the next few weeks will be very interesting. Petty will be full of confidence, Keilty needs to get back to his best, as do Frost, Hunt and Wagner if they want any chance at playing seniors this year, and in Decs case especially, they’re playing to keep their spot on the list all together.

Match Preview and Team Selection - Round 12
Dec has probably only had 1 really good game this season (when he was 2nd BOG v Port Melb) where Petty has been pretty consistent since the start of the year. And consistency is what the selectors look for. Hopefully, like last year, Dec finds some really great form in the second half of the season and manages to force himself into the seniors. If not he may struggle to find himself with another contract next season which is a big worry.
