  1. The press were all praising them for their brilliant last quarter comeback, but Collingwood were incredibly lucky to beat Carlton.

For a start the Blues were playing one short( Hollands).

Byrne missed two from 30m, either one of which would have saved the game. This guy slotted onefrom55 , post-high against us with, I think, his first kick in AFL footy.

Also Oscar Steene’s mark in the goal square in Q4 was after the most glaringly obvious push in the back of Dean.

I tipped Carlton, since I think Coll. are over-rated, and I think the better side on the day lost.

I'm sorry picket, but as a card carrying member of IPS (International Pedant Society), I have to say that makes no @$%@&^ sense!

The Nova? Sure. The Astor? Absolutely. Village? OK.

But Home Theatre System as a play on Cinema? Nup.

I mean a home theatre is almost literally the opposite of a cinema!

What about “Flicks” as a nickname? Do some people still say “ let’s go to the flicks “. ( cinema”)

If you've paid any attention to what's been happening over the past three years it's not rocket science why we 'dispensed' him. I highly doubt that GWS are laughing as we're getting just about the same output from Steele for a much lower price.

And I highly disagree that he's right up there with the very best given that we have Max Gawn in the side right now.

Thanks so much…. I’ll attempt to pay more attention in future.

  4. What a great player Clarrie is!

I watched Barrassi, Dixon, Spencer, Flower ,Petracca, Schwarz, Adams( not Jed, I’m anfraid!) and Stynes, representing our club. Clarrie is right up there with them . I don’t understand why a club would dispense with such a star. ( I know there must be reasons that we fans aren’t privy to)Apparently he was much loved by team mates.

    GWS must be laughing.

I wish Clarrie all the best at GWS.

Another speedy Adams! Must be in the name. RIP Bluey.

I’ve been hoping Jed Adams would develop into a good AFL player.

Every time I’ve watched him at Casey , he’s been soundly beaten one on one.

He played ok in his only AFL game, and he’s a good kick.

I thought he was poor for Casey last week.

TMac has a proven record as a defender. Please replace Disco with TMac.

  6. I’ve had very little satisfaction in trying to solve Demonstone’s and Timothy R’s footy team quizzes, so I’ve tried to devise one that will baffle them.

I’ll be disappointed if (a) someone gets it straightaway , or (b)people say it was too obscure when I finally divulge the solution.

The players all have something in common, but it’s not footy related.

Backs. Andy Moniz- Wakefield, Chris Langford, Brenton Sanderson

Half Backs.Jack Sinclair, Kenny Hunter,Xavier Tanner

    C. Ed Langdon,Scott Pendlebury,Jack Henderson

Half Forwards. Geoff Tunbridge,Jacob Van Rooyen,, Caleb Windsor

    F.Jack Gunston,Jason Dunstall,Jack Ginnivan

    Rucks Damian Monkhorst, Scott Wynd

    Rover Jack Viney

    Coach Ken Hinkley

    Interchange,Nas Wanganeen Milleara,Josh Jenkins,John Ronaldson,Peter Sinclair,Austin Wonaeamirri,.

PM ‘s please , if you want to have a go.

ps…..they’re not all little known banjo players for obscure blue-grass bands…or anything like it!

Let’s get rid of him !

  8. Has Luker grown? He’s supposed to be 195 cm, but is competing with 204 cm Heath in the ruck. With no Gawn, Campbell and White , we’re pretty light in for rucks.

I’m glad they’re not burdening Roo with Rick work. It helps his forward play. He looks stronger.
