  1. Makes sense..... channelling his inner spinner.
  2. Yea me too. And yea I imagine that game drew a lot of energy. Hopefully a very light training run and the fact we had the bye not long ago will help. Stupid fixture.
  3. Aside from his acceleration, he has great upper body strength as well. But it's his ability to make quick decisions and quick execution of plays that excite me. That hanball over the top in the middle without breaking stride to I think it was Tracca who kicked to Frita who goaled... was as good as it gets. No it wasn't a feat of strength or great marking or kicking, it was just a handball. But one made in a second and one where Tracca too didn't have to break stride. How many of those looping handballs do we see get intercepted? Not from this young man.
  4. Was Robbie taller? I noticed that when Caleb flexed up after his goal he looked quite solid. His speed is up their with anyone else about. Let's hope like RF he owns that wing for the next decade and has a continuing stellar career. Be tough for Hunter to get it back. That quick chip kick to Fritta for our first goal was very Flower like. I think I read somewhere once that RF weighed 69 kg in his early career. Could that be right. I know he was whippet like but I remember him as being quite tall and thought he would have weighed about 80. He must of filled out later on Yes I too have some memories of seeing him dash past me while I was a tacker on the fence.
  5. Enjoyed the commentary quip after Caleb's tackle and free and goal... " He's caught in a Windsor knot."
  6. Your right he doesn't. And more to the point, has no need to do it.
  7. Did Fritta kick that goal on the Shane Warne stand side?
  8. Two things in the last few minutes of the game. Tracca really burnt Kozzie kicking to Fritta on the boundary. But then we wouldn't have had goal of the year. And Cameron marks 25 out from goal with two mins on the clock uses his full 30 seconds as if they were in front and then shanks it. Bravo.
  9. I'm in full agreement on this. But I'm sure the footy department knows how to handle such challenges and protect the players as best as possible. Only two more sleeps to go.
  10. Thanks Deemania. And remind me to never cross swords with you on this website.😃 Although to be completely honest a part of me is glad another game is coming around so soon. Can't wait.
  11. Probably to run over as much wild life as they can too. Not to mention the competition to see who can use the most fossil fuels and take up the most parking space. I saw an F 150 at Woollies the other day and it stuck out over the line by about five feet. They really are trucks.
  12. I think you might be right. I know it started with L. I was thinking loyds but loys does sound familiar. I think there was a depot in Inkerman st never the train bridge . I remember pineapple and passionfruit and thinking how upmarket they were. All delivered to your door. I begged my mom to get some but she said it was a waste of money. Pffft.
  13. Agreed. I wish he had more room up forward to showcase his skills. One on one for his size he's difficult to stop. Roves the ball like a small crumber, flies high and turns on a sixpence with uncanny goal sense. And consistently kicks around fifty or more a year. He seemed to travel a fair way up the ground v cats and looked good.
  14. Can't stretch the minds of their supporters too far George.
  15. That review was a highlight for me. I hope it took some wind out of cats players and supporters. They were so stoked over that goal and it would have been a damn fine one. Funny, I don't usually rejoice in the misfortunes of others. Who am I kidding I love seeing bad stuff happen to Geelong . It completes me.
  16. I don't think I've even seen him do it once. He clearly doesn't watch Melbourne games. What a load of absolute cobblers. I rate Fritta as extremely underated. And that's fine. Let him go under the radar. He's not a large build but the way he times his " lean intos" and the power from them make him seem around the 100 keg mark. In fact he does the opposite to trying to get frees. There was a rubbish non decision when he was taken out of a contest against Geelong and Fritta said Zippo.
  17. They should just save time for the next one and give Max the votes now.
  18. Here you go GEELONG's former Ford factory has been transformed into a hub for innovative housing solutions Probably future retirement home assistant living for cats players.
  19. Why are they still sponsored by Ford? Didn't they throw in the towel when the Gov stopped propping them up? Isn't the Geelong Ford plant gone?
  20. And Jackson puts on a clinic. Turncoat.
  21. Watching it on Telly was the first big game for a long time where the crowd sounded definitely pro us. It actually sounded like there were hardly any cats supporters. Sounded great. Would like to know the breakdown of the 52 k. If I had to guess from the noise and crowd shots Id wager Dee's fans 30 odd. But it's a figure I'm pulling out of .. Too far for cats supporters to drive quite possibly. But great effort to all you who attended. Thanks.
  22. Let me have my whinge L.H. It doesn't cost anything 😃😃😃
  23. Billings was less than ok for me but he had some patches of good play before he was subbed off. Just not enough and I feel like he's been like that for a few games now. He'll get the benefit of the doubt though because he's had some good form early in the season and Goody doesn't often make big changes after a win. And that's a good a win as you can get. Like you I thought Woey was very good and maybe he can play further up the ground. But he won't be dropped.l just My feeling is just change Laurie with Bowey as the sub. It's too much I think to give Bowser a full game and Laurie was underwhelming in his limited game time despite his two goals v tigers. Perhaps Bowey could be subbed on for Woey to play fwd or experiment with him as a small fwd for a Cameo. I've been told by those in the know that McAdam isn't ready yet. Someone even said he was ill. I'm keen to see him play. Hunter back too would be great but who to take out for him? I feel the old adage that If it ain't broke ....is the way it will go down. Although the argument of fresh legs may hold merit. Like my usual posts I have nothing to really say. Except that this club is awesome on the way we stood up to the Cats. I know it's early and we had a couple of iffy games but I really feel that this could be our year again. WhatI wouldn't give to get to see us win a flag at the MCG and be able to watch it person. I've always said I'd be happy with just one flag before I go to that big arena in the sky ( surely God is a closeted Demons flag...I mean if one believes in that sort of thing ..He'd have a good sense of humour) but now I've discovered how good one feels.....I feel that one idea was a load of bollocks. In the immortal wise words of Grandpa Simpson..... "Gimme, gimme, gimme".
  24. Of course it does. You and your frivolous, factotum flaggelations. To a man with a hammer, everything looks like a nail' (Abraham Maslow) (Sorry Uncle, I have no idea of the relevance of this quote but I've always wanted to use it).
