  1. why can't Moloney be Captain - he has inspiration and guts - we need someone like him - we have no-one else - as tough - sylvia is too. I don't think McDonald has it as Captain - not like Neitz he was the best captain ever - always running up and patting everyone on the back - we need a Neitz, Schwartz or Todd Viney - bring back Viney. why was the third quarter such a rabble? I have read all the articles how we will be good in 4 years - but do we have to watch this rubbish until then. four teams I hate with a passion - Collingwood, Carlton , Essendon and Hawthorn and we let 2 of them do this to us. Fourth quarter to Moloney's credit was good - Davey has to learn not to give the ball away under pressure - then again he is only small - Watts will be good. I want to know where are Wheatley and Woneamirra (spelt wrong) at least they can kick goals and my not be as flash as the other players but we can't do any worse - can we than 1 game. Also I wish everyone would stop saying I think we have a chance to win tonight ( and I guess they are giving the supporters hope) but it makes us look very stupid when we lose.
  2. Yes I agree hear, hear - who else stood up , he can't do it on his own!! You feel like running out and helping him don't you - we probably would do better ourselves - we played like a ordinary seconds team!!
  3. It's not all about being young - look at Neitz what a leader - I don't think Mcdonald is a good captain -no encouragement like Neitz used to do - pat the players on the back and offer words of encouragement - not once have I seen this happen!! Yes they are getting old, and what did Green, Bruce, Rivers, McLean (useless) and Davey do yesterday - NOTHING - I suggest to you as long as they are getting paid they don't care - I'm OVER it - we pay good money for our tickets and to go along and watch that pathetic rubbish - is emabarrissing - especially in front of Collingwood - what about next year - is it to be more of the same - bring back Kevin Sheedy, Todd Viney or Garry Lyon who always has too much to say but doesn't do anything - we have no-one to stand up for us , and to kick goals, they didn't even lose as much when we played the Cats and Saints. one word -PATHETIC!!!
  4. Bull s****t what about the basics - just manning up is one major thing they never do - are they advised to do this by the coach- playing around the edge not knowing what to do - has to be a big one - when one young player had the ball and was running for the goal square - no-one there to help him - you have to have the coach supposedly LEADING you. where is Woneamirri and Wheatley ? at least they can kick goals - we have no-one
  5. Yes, I agree what a pathetic and embarrassing game that was yesterday against Collingwood of all people. No manning up as usual - and who stood up for us - where was Green, Bruce, Rivers, Davy and McLean isn't doing anything either - just a dreadful rabble of a game - and Collingwood isn't that good - team - what's going to happen next year - much of the same - what experience has Bailey had anyway - I wanted Sheedy - can't understand the club letting him pass - he would have shaped everyone up and got the membership really sky high - I also don't think much of mcDonald as Captain not a quarter as good as Neitz was, doesn't seem to run up and pat the players on the back and give them any encouragement- we are stuffed-have we got years of this to look forward to????
  6. Miller was brilliant when he started a few years back, but he has either gone off or lost interest. He certainly can't kick gaols. We need someone tough like Neitz or Schwartz. Rivers has also gone off, and Davey is just getting his magic back, now. I am hoping that it is a repeat of last year and beat Collingwood on Monday - I love beating Collingwood, I hate them with a passion,
  7. Hello Well this is the draw from hell isn't it - I go to all the home games - which is a bit hard to do, as we haven't had many we can go to. what is the problem - how come Collingwood gets all the good draws and doesn't have to travel - at least we are not playing at Etihad anymore which is good. Just a point about Sunday's game - once again we didn't man up - why not??? Do they have an aversion to this - are they told to? It may sound trivial but it's not - and the sooner we remember to do so the better - no good running in when it's too late. We would have lost quite a few games over time doing this. Also where are Wheatley and Woniemera (wrong spellig I know) are they coming back? I would play Watts why not - why wrap him up in cottonwool for heaven's sake - as Tommy Hafey would say to you all - if you can't kick a goal - get off and let someone else come on who can. And I do not like soft Melbourne fans and all their excuse - so this is why people say we go to the snow, time to be tough, as I have mentioned before the players get paid enough money - I have to say we are playing better I think - tell Robbo not to try and show off as lying on his back to kick the ball doesn't always work - anyhow they did well to catch up as we were 52 points down at one stage. Cheers Jill Ward
  8. Whooooo Go Dees I couldn't go today, having a dinner party tonight, but sounds like you excelled yourselves and we should have won!!! I will be there to cheer you on against the hated Magpies!!! I can't stand that little whingeing Tony Shaw on radio and Gerard Healey - he used to play for us and he's always putting us down - such a smart alec!!!
  9. Go melbourne Passion 8th May 2009, I feel the same that I will be there forever it's just so frustating and we have been waiting for so long!!!!!! they are trying very hard at the moment playing West Coast- its hard to win over there
  10. I'll always be loyal and true, I go to all the home games, what I'm saying is I'm sick of watching all the same old, same old, mistakes they make, like not manning up, playing around the edge of the ground, but I think we are on the improvement list, all the excuses all those years from Daniher (and he was also a good coach) of we are building a spine etc - so what happened - we have some good players and it always looks good on paper, maybe they have to try harder, or is that as long as they get paid, they don't care? Maybe they should be paid monthly on their performances? They can do it when they want to - without sounding unfaithful - sometimes they don't want to and they are so frustating - but I'll always support them - even though I threaten to support the Bulldogs next year, as they have guts.
  11. Hey I have been following Melbourne forever - I've seen Barassi play - those were the days, we "missed the Boat" a few years ago - when we were right up there - we don't have that determination to win - you would never have seen Carlton or Essendon in their glory days lose by 5 points like we did!!
  12. I'm over it at the moment, sick of other clubs thinking good we have got the Dees this weekend - what a walkover
