  1. Get over his injury :P

If anyone goes, keep an eye on Batsanis and Markovic for Box Hill. Both could very well be at AFL clubs next year (know for a fact Hawthorn wanted Markovic to stay at Box Hill to increase their chances of re-

Batsanis was rookie listed by the Power then dropped after a season.

  2. I have not seen Rich play but i know i would be definitely drafting Naitanui if we have the opportunity to do so.

Perhaps you should wait until you do see him play.

I hope to god your not part of our recruitment staff.

  3. KB should know all about the culture of selfishness at MFC.

Never have I seen a more selfish footballer both on and off the field in the AFL than KB. Makes Yze look like Glenn Archer.

To cap it off he has down zip for his old Club especially during their hard times since being dumped as Coach. Oh wait he did go back to launch a book...written by his son.

I cant think of anyone who more accurately embodies the "me first" attitude on and off the ground. When you think of the concept of ex players giving back to their old Club, KB has morphed it to whats in it for me.

    Hence the nickname 'Hungary'

  4. What a load of crap. You don't like Bruce - big deal. What would Cyril Rioli have done for us today other than go missing like three quarters of the rest of our side.

The Hawks were good tonight, and it kills me to see the player we almost had in Sewell continue to carve up opposition sides - but we don't and there's no point bitching about it.

Hmm, where is Fergs playing this year?

  5. Agree with your thoughts melbman.

The leadership team was selected by the players based on advised leadership criteria.

Its not only there to keep others on side but also to keep the voted leadership members holding up the standard. McLean stuffed up and got dumped.

As a footballer, I think Yze is finished. However, while I would not accept him in the leadership group (far from it), his appointment puts an onus him to be a leader to the best of his ability. Same with Robbo. And I think subject to any major breach of rules, the Club may get more out of them in it than not part of the group and free to be selfish players they are.

I dont see the current selection of leaders as an end point but it does recognise how starved of leaders we are and that our future leaders are not ready atm. We are left with questionable group of leaders but I think a concept on the right track.

But appointment to the leadership group is and never was a meal ticket to a free game.

    Right on again as usual.

If Robertson plays poorly again this week then he can be dropped also. No free rides, and at the same time a run in the 2's can bring something positive out of a player. Being able to get your hands on the footy can be invaluable.

It should be looked at as a player being taught a lesson in which he can learn from old or young.

  6. Flubber Dew jumped around today as if he is a gun.

No way you can tell me he could have done this other than in a team that that was not totally dominating the opposition. Domination he had not added to whatsoever.

Has there been a more blatantly overweight man take the field since football became wholly professional? I think not.

Instead of posting this stupid thread how about watching him for about five weeks and seeing how he goes?
