Careful now. Media journalists would on average get it wrong more than they can get it right. What matters is that people will listen and read to whatever they think of - and if that gets a wide audience then it gets publicity and money in the coffers. We're all living on this earth to earn money, no?

This man should be condemned for sending so many supporters off the rails waiting for a decision. I'm sitting here watching races on my computer ... there's a problem with another website and I need to close it down, but it interferes with my race viewer. The caller is saying: "As they greet the judge for the first time..." However, the viewer starts screwing up and looping the last audio it heard. What did I get? "As they greet the Judd ..." "As they greet the Judd ..." "As they greet the Judd ..." "As they greet the Judd ..." "As they greet the Judd ..." "As they greet the Judd ..."

This is not about me. Don't go trying to twist this argument.

So what? You give Petterd massive praise, call him a "freak" and yet if you were coaching in 2008 he would not get a game with a fully fit squad to choose from. It sends mixed messages: if he were a "freak" he would be good enough to play, no? Not even a chance on the interchange?
-
And yet he is an Emergency on your "Squad of '08". Talk about sending mixed messages.
-
My lack of wisdom and maturity would generate an answer with little substance. In accordance with this, I would keep Petterd.
-
Get over it D2. You take things too seriously mate.
-
Hmm - not bad there. Judd being a professional athlete I wonder why he told his folks first but he has a very close relationship with M&D so I guess it would be known to them.

If I had not fallen ill at the end of Year 10 and deferred from studies, I would be hard at it preparing for VCE exams right now = I should be in the same position as most of you.

Hey - Hannabal tells me that Paul Connors or Chris Judd gave him the heads up that Melbourne were the bridesmaid in this race and I'll be happy to acknowledge. I know ... pot, kettle, black etc etc but I love blind optimism. It comes second only to blind drunk.
-
No problem if my mate gives you no confidence - if he fails, I'm rich! :D PS. Side note ... in inner-eastern Melb area right now - 10 minutes ago it sounded like Baghdad circa April 2003 out there. PPS. "I know for a fact" - who told you? Paul Connors or Chris Judd?

I'll add to this because it is worthy of more responses. Pick 4 is inevitably on the way out. No say in this. Little bro' Selwood or Morton could be snared and West Coast would appreciate this. James Frawley to St. Kilda for Pick 9. The Saints would appreciate the young backman to replace Hudghton when the time arrives, he is a top 10 draftee and there are the family ties too. Pick 4 and 9 to West Coast for Chris Judd. West Coast wanted low draft picks, we have two inside the top 10 to give them. I don't think West Coast would ponder and think of something else better. To replenish our losses of Frawley and Pick 4 ... Miller and Robertson to the Bulldogs for Pick 22 and [insert young quick midfielder here] or Pick 5 straight out. A 60-goal player is what the Bulldogs need, no matter what size he is, and Miller is the young, tall, built player who can turn into that CHF they need. But this depends on what the draft is like. If it is filled with midfielders in the top 15 then we may as well take the first option, not going for Pick 5.

Put it this way ... if the results turns pear-shaped then we rid him of his bank account and have him stoned in the middle of the 'G.
-
If I honestly gave that much of a rats, I could set up a new BigFooty account and go on and on proclaiming the big scoop and the source that would knock everyone for six.
-
He wanted to say something bigger than "one million percent" but couldn't think straight. He was trying to muster up words to explain how confident he was that I finally told him he made his point. It's like a tween trying to explain how they didn't do something ... they know they didn't do it but can't think of anything more to say to prove it - but they KNOW they didn't. Making an announcement tomorrow is not out of the question, BTW.

No. Brian Taylor was at the MelbourneFC brunch. How the fudge would some Sportsbet representative know anything about Judd's decision? Still, I don't care anymore who he goes to. If he goes to Melbourne, I'm on Cloud 9, if he doesn't, I'm on Cloud 9 but being weighed down by a bulging wallet. :D

No way should we wait for the PSD - for Adelaide's sake we will give them Jamar. Pick 3 in the PSD could snag ... something else?!
-
The James Frawley to St. Kilda for Pick 9 trade looks realistic. Pick 4 and 9 to West Coast should be all that is required. Robertson and Miller to Bulldogs for Pick 22 and [insert quick midfielder here] and CAC will do wonders with 21 and 22.

One or the other, sorry. John Meesen left read and for good reason. Having Paul Johnson, Mark Blake and John Meesen in the same line-up (and to a lesser extent in this instance, White), would make it difficult for Meesen to get in the squad.
-
Nathan Jones IMO is more of a clearance machine than Brock McLean. His pace off a standing start is unbelievable. He is also the gutsiest player in this squad, hungriest for the ball and fearless.

He just called me for a good chat just then. The function included Brian Taylor and all the of the MelbourneFC players, and again, BT was adamant that Judd was a Demon. To me, a little boring ... because BT's already been dancing around the maypole about this for the past 24-36 hours. But what got to me is my good mate had "1,000,000% confidence" that Judd is a Demon, I still quizzed him but he went on into a diatribe explaining how he is so sure of it, even promising to offload his bank account onto me if it does not eventuate. And he's a filthy rich person too. I trust this man because on the Tuesday prior to Mark Williams' spilling the beans on Dean Bailey's appointment, he was 95% sure Melbourne had decided on Bailey. Why didn't I announce this on Demonology? He told me to shut up about it AND my computer was being fixed. The day before Daniher announced that he would quit as Melbourne coach after the Essendon game, the good oil came from this mate that this would occur. He also has given me early mail on other news involving other sports ... 3 days before it was announced that Pompeii Ruler would be out of the Spring, came the call from him telling me exactly that. He has friends in high places - Steve Harris is one, the folks at Sport 927 are another. In this phone call he told me that he met the Ruler of Dubai, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid al Maktoum only a month ago. I am sold. Make up your own mind, but I am sold. EDIT: Oh, and I should let 'landists know - this is the first "rumour/speculation" I have added to the Chris Judd discussion ever since this whole debaccle began. Never started any discussion about a new rumour until now.
-
Shoot - I'm off to plonk $100 on Melbourne.
-
Nathan Jones Jared Rivers The next list would be players who I would find difficult to let go, but at the price of Judd just may have to. Aaron Davey Michael Newton Brock McLean Ricky Petterd Daniel Bell Clint Bartram Matthew Bate Lynden Dunn The rest can line up and West Coast can pluck whoever they wish.
-
Jamar straight out. Why give anything else? He wants to return to Melbourne and wants to play for the MelbourneFC. Adelaide have their hands tied in any trade discussion. They won't be able to push the lever or else they will end up with nothing and Meesen goes into the PSD. And seeing that both Hudson and Meesen are on the way out, they couldn't afford to do this.

Well - a good start for us you would think: - Geelong's win today crushes our record of the worst Grand Final loss in history. - Geelong Premierships usually are followed by Melbourne Premierships. Their 44-year Premiership drought ended this year ... we have a 44-year Premiership drought next year. Here we go! I told my mother she has 30 minutes to bask in the end of AFL before our pre-season began.
