If Im remembering it right we got in 2 late picks as steak knives when we traded pick 25 (?) to GWS for Frost. Those steak knives got us O mac and ANB. So, Frost, ANB and O mac for pick 25 looks pretty frikn good to me.
It was pick 23 who GWS used for Pat McKenna who we traded in for swaps in the 50s.

R 18 1969. V Carlton.
Greg Wells first game. He kicked his 4th after taking a mark in the pocket at the city end and the game was over.
-
Barrett also saying Rockcliff to Carlton.
This is simply not the case. His preference is to stay at Brisbane unless he gets an offer he cant refuse.
Nothing like that has come from Carlton.

Don't ever let that one go, will be worth a fortune one day.
My son wore his Air Jurrah shirt for 3 days in Disneyland California Christmas time in 2011.
Created some discussion with fellow Aussies while I was having a beer at EPSN downtown Disney.

Hi Tilly, long time no see.
Rocky was a classic case of could've, should've Every club makes mistakes.
Jurrah was almost an inspired choice. So near, but so far.
Our list now has the ability to bring us a flag. Lets see if they have the commitment.
Hi Faulty,
Hope you've been good
Travel around with work a lot so don't have a lot of time to post. Do read a lot.
Its a lot better going to the games these days.
Rocky wanted the spot at Melbourne but not to be.
He may be on the move at the end of the year.
Hope Ding is good.

We promised Tom Rockliff a rookie spot and instead took Liam Jurrah.
As good as Jurrah was and as much as Rockliff is said to be a prat, Rockliff would have been a much better pick.
We were set to take Rockcliff with pick 1 in the pre season draft.
Jurrah [censored] up his application for the National draft and the AFL allowed his application lapse to the pre season draft.
We were confident we could get both using pick 1 of the rookie draft on Rockcliff, There was a huge knock on Rockliffs tank.
Brisbane picked Rockcliff in the pre season.
They got Rockcliff and we got Jurrah and Jordie McKenzie.

afl statement (Gil) scheduled at noon today
Ok thanks. Should be interesting.

Stepping down while I get help is not a resignation. Not close.
I have been locked away all morning and expected to read a statement from the AFL by now.
I think they may be finding it difficult getting his resignation.

Come on BBO, I know you are partial to a good flogging but this was an unproved king hit that caused a player in an suburban comp to miss work, together with the fact that it was an escalation of a pattern of behaviour. It is also aggravated by the fact that this guy's job with the AFL is to try and change people's attitudes and behaviour. He deserves everything he got from the tribunal and should lose his job.
He cant continue to put his hand out every Thursday working for a business with a key responsibly being to protect the image of the game. Because of his violent past he is now no longer able to play the game at any level. He cant remain as an administrator on any level.

He's not the guy they showed quite distressed after the huge Essendon loss during the Neeld days.
If so he was in Transport on Monday before the game.

Dangers offer was sub 1 million. Wanted to play for his child hood team.
Fyfe is chasing money.
Franklin ring a bell.
Yes agree swaps can come into play. My mistake.

Are you two twins??
Yes he is a Free Agent. But there are 2 types of Free Agents.
I will let you lads work out the rest
I have no idea.
Under what circumstances can the owning club trade a free agent.

Hypothetical if Fyge choose the Dees - what eould be Freos asking price?
If the Judd deal is any indication
1st rd pick and Salem?
Kent and 2 first rounders?
Dare i say straight swap for Hogan?
It does eound great having Fyfe in the red and blue but the devil is in the detail.... no puns intended
He's a free agent.

We would be way too slow with Trengove in the team. Would need to drop Tyson for balance , which isnt happening.
I am a Tyson fan but he butchered it today. Its a problem.

When kicking became king the focus was to develop a weapon on your preferred. NP was dropped out of the equation.

My wife has no interest in the football at all. I have tried to get her involved but it just doesn't happen.
In fact she's happy for me to go to the games or travel interstate and get on the beers as she knows it helps with switching off.
On the other hand 2 of my best friends have been going to the football together for 40 years. Passionate North fans.
Started out cans of Vic and pies in the outer together.
Now they take their 3 kids to games all around the country making a real family event of going to the football.
They have watched 3 premierships together.
Its a beautiful thing and I know which one I would prefer.

you've got a good memory, tilly. i struggle to remember melb players from the 80's let alone who shifted from carlscum to the aints.
I remember more St Kilda being referred to as the Carlton reserves. I got a good laugh out of it. The players involved sort of stuck with me.

I'm not at fussed about us not going after Marchbank.
What is concerning is Carlton and Silvagni's obsession with bringing in fringe GWS talent. The are going after a lot of high draft picks that have yet to show anything close to real, consistent form at the top level, and unless I'm mistaken, none of them have shown anything at Carlton either. Their entire rebuilds hinges on GWS offcuts making it big.
Lamb, Phillips, Sumner, Plowman, Jaksch and now Marchbank (possibly for a first round pick).
Could pay off of course, but at the moment it feels like Silvagni's not wanting to admit that he got a lot of his GWS drafting wrong, and wanting them to turn it around at the Blues.
Yeah similar to St Kilda in the 80's when they were known as the Carlton reserves
Wow Jones, McConville, Marcou, Sheldon, Kourkomelis
Brisbane round 2

I will be in that bar for the Richmond game. How long are you and Faulty in Phuket for?
