Adelaide v Melbourne POST MATCH DISCUSSION - ROUND 3
JV7 replied to Demonland's topic in Melbourne Demons
Don't get why each week people call for 4-5 change. Roos has never been one to make hostile changes... Wouldn't be suprised if it's Frost out injured for either a tall in Pedersen or they go for another runner in michie/grimes -
Forgot about Pedersen as the forward/2nd ruck option. How's he been going at Casey ? He does make us a bit top heavy up forward though not as mobile as Frost. If Michie plays well at Casey he is next in line
-
No jacks watts too efforts are unbelievable. He takes the first mark were two goals better off.. All our hard contested play undone by two soft efforts
-
We were around these odds a few times last year...
-
Actually was Geelong who flogged us the week prior so that gives your point more credit... But Port were in a form slump then and adelaide are red hot atm.. Only chance we have is adelaide turning up complacent
-
There's a difference between optimistic and stupid... We are no chance, back to the old days where you go into a game knowing we are no chance of winning, and the best thing to hope is we are in the game at qrt time and take that as a win

Manuka and the ridiculously biased ground announcer.

Think the AFL are getting more and more like the American sports like the NFL and NBA.. The home side creates such a hostile environment and the crowds go mad for their teams. Went over late last year and went to a few sports and it does create a great atmosphere when they encourage the home crowd to get involved.. If your following the home team that is -
HA! Furthest thing from itJust educated on health and nutrition btw

Fat is actually the best fuel for enegry

Feel flat today... Been a long time since a loss has effected me. Like I said before the game, worst part about having expectations is if we lose your left with this feeling and what makes matters worse there's no realistic chance of a win next week
-
When the physical heat came to us we crumbled... Just like the NAB game against the dogs. Last week GC came at us but we weren't physically tested, just tested on the scoreboard. Blind Freddy could have seen that GWS were going to come out breathing fire and we just stood by an accepted it. I had a feeling at half time the Giants would come but did not expect the avalanche in which it happened.. Leaders didnt stand up but as I said I think Jones was carrying something. Dawes doesn't hold enough marks, or any for a matter if fact. Look at the difference between him and hogan. Kents missed goal in the 3rd from that behind the ball free really hurt, could have steemed the flow a bit
-
Was worried at half time thinking GWS would come but couldn't imagine this.. Jones must be injured or something. Disappointing we just couldn't stop the rot, once a side gets a run on you'd think you could stop it but we just couldn't get our hands on the ball, couldn't win the ball out it the middle. GWS have tackled and pressured us for 2 quarters we went to water.
-
Also interested to see how Garlett backs it up. remembering him at carlton he would play well one week then going missing for weeks on end
-
The one problem going into a game with expectation is you end up left with anger, frustration and dissapointment if we lose. Let's hope for a 2-0 start to the year. Dees by 7

I agree with this ALTHOUGH I do have a feeling that the MFC was more than happy to move him on. Who knows, maybe he wanted to stay at melbourne and we thought we were better off getting Lumumba rather than keep a injury prone, mentally fragile player... Still hate clark and think his made a bad descion to bring these comments to the public, would have thought someone whos battling depression would rather not be in the spotlight but that backs up suggestions he never had an illness to start with
-
Going to be interesting to see if the boys can back it up. If we were to win this week and put two wins together for the first time since god knows when we've turned the corner. Keep forgetting its in Canberra so no real home ground advantage to the Giants although they play there a few times a year. Can't wait for tomorrow, good to finally look forward to the weekend to see the dees play!

When was the last time we were inside the 8 at the end of a round ? I'd be guessing about round 5-6 2011 ?
-
Chip playing on clark.. Hopefully a head clash and both KO eachother
-
Yeah definitely.. I went to a couple of NFL games and NBA games over Christmas in the US, was suprised to see that some of the pre game stuff was used yesterday at the G, like the make some noise flashing around the ground and the hells bells song
-
Not sure if it's been mentioned but the Hells Bells song as the players ran out set the scene.. Thought it was great. But did anyone else just have that feeling that things felt different as soon as the boys ran out ? It just seems like a new team, was like watching a different team yesterday. There was excitement in the crowd was sensational.. Watching the replays the roar of the crowd was unreal for only 27,000

Tysons candy sell goal... Whole play that lead up to it was fantastic

Posts on here get worse and worse every week. Hogan is 100% playing round one, who do you propose takes his spot ? -

Melbourne v Western Bulldogs @ Eureka Stadium Ballarat - 14th March, 2015

Your getting stuck into a bloke who's coming off a restricted pre season, plays one half in a forward line where the ball would be lucky to have come down a dozen times.. His had two shots on goal and had a handful of touches and you think his one of our problems ? Jog on mate, you have no idea
