One thing you can develope and teach a footballer at this level is disposal... He has all the attributes that gives him potential to be a player for us that's the main thing

The season has come round real quick... Already planned in my annual sick day for the Falcons game. Good on Hayne for making the 53-man roster, although the Australian media and bandwagon supporters are already getting to me

While most would see this as a junk game and nothing to play for... It might give us an insight into the players mindset. Yeah the Bills are an interesting one, what can rex do with them and add into the fact Brady is missing 4 games, opens the divison up a little bit. We'll see how negative we are in the last round on Father's Day... There'll be 5,000 people at etihad. Going into the game Sunday I thought, we win this then pinch the GWS game in the last round makes 8 wins and a pass mark for the year. Yes we lost games to Essendon, Saints twice but in all reality we are better primed then those 2 sides and beating the likes of Richmond, Collingwood, Bulldogs is a far better achievement then better essendon & st.kilda because in the long run were better off then those 2.. But after the weekends performance and the week prior against the Dogs, I can't take that stance anymore. The weekend especially, what a disgraceful performance it was. Almost 2 full years in Roos tenure I thought these performances would be gone.. The year has been a failure, the shining lights been Hogan & Brayshaw.. The recruitment of Garlett and the suprise packet in Vandenberg. Gawns 2nd half of the season also.. That's about where it stops. After the promising performance of round 1 I thought this club has turned the corner, in actualy fact we have stagnated

Were you at the game ? Because if you were you would have seen that Newton had absolutely nothing to kick to. No players leading up at him, he held onto the ball as long as he could but yet typical of Melbourne, no'one wanted to bust their gut to help him out. Yes he isn't gifted with speed but in this case it wasn't his fault..

Jamar will be a definite in... Wether they go with 2 rucks or Gawns rested. Gawn was run off his feet by Kruezer, think his cooked. Brayshaw needs a rest, his looked tired for the last 8 weeks, don't understand why he hasn't had a week off yet. Howe should do a Henderson and just walk now...

When we appointed Roos I was over the moon, a mate of my said "why ? He won one flag on the back of a Leo Barry mark, everyone's goes on about what a legendary coach he is, he won one flag" thought he was just jealous we signed him but maybe he was right. Why was Gawn left forward to continually crash into Hogan and spoil him time & time again. I know gawn was getting belted in the ruck and they had nothing else to do with him but he spoilt hogan 3-4 times in the last quarter and a half... So dumb just leaving him there

So a bloke organizing something on his holiday is the reason for the clubs performance today, is the reason we laid 5 tackles in the first quarter ? For starters he wasn't even out there today and was among the best in the VFL... Think we have far bigger problems then a fringe player booking into an event on his holidays
