  1. Stare em in the eye, kid. They can say what they'll say, but they'll never be able to call you a pea heart that doesn't support their team in the toughest of times. I'd love to see how they'd cope under the same duress themselves.
  2. There are much better ways to bring on a revolution, that don't cripple the club further in the process. Whilst I don't agree with your aim, it's your method that I'm really questioning. And whether it will actually bring about what you claim to want.
  3. Rescue the club by not buying memberships or turning up to games? You won't explain how that works for a simple reason. You can't.

I'm angry enough to punch holes in walls during and after the game, but I'm actually proud to be a Melbourne supporter right now. It hurts, and I hate it, but I'm tough enough to take it. I'm not taking the easy way out. My mates give me hell, but I'm copping it on the chin. Our team is crap. So what? I'm not some weak little princess that only supports their team when they're doing well.
  5. Ok then, but why are you still pushing to damage it further? You can't give me a straight answer, can you?

I love it. You have me beaming. We WILL get out of this. This is REAL committment. It'll be painful and longer than we'd like, but we'll get there. And it'll be worth it.

Think about what it's like to hear of Richmond supporters in the past tearing up their memberships, or more recently microwaving them. I always thought the concept was laughable. I'm not laughing now, but it brings some perspective. Both to how they felt abou their club at the time, and to how overdramatic we are being about our current situation.
  8. No, the answers aren't. You implore others to not sign up for memberships and not turn up to the game. Even if that contributes to the board, CEO and coach getting sacked, at what cost? Surely there are better ways of obtaining that end, without damaging the club further than it needs to be.
  9. In your opinion. But that's not what I asked. What do you, logically, expect to achieve, by changing either the CEO or board at this time? And coupled with that, what will it achieve for supporters to not buy memberships and not turn up to matches? What is the end aim of your approach? It will have to. Because any change now will not have an immediately positive impact. It can only hurt. A lot.
  10. Well, I see no wisdom there, but it's neither here nor there. I ask you, logically, what you think your approach will achieve? Do you think it will better the club?
  11. You don't think you're trying to influence others? I've read posts by you imploring others not to turn up, not to buy memberships, and constantly harping on about the impending doom of the club. Your attitude is defeatist, obnoxious and ubiquitous on this forum. But how is that supporting? If no one turns up at a home game, how on earth will that help the club? You only exacerbate the club's problems by sending supporters into further despair. Like they aren't hurting enough. It's hard enough keeping faith as it is right now. Do you honestly believe that sacking anyone now will help anything?
  12. That's not supporting. And it's damaging because you're trying to influence others to follow you. If they do, it can do absolutely no good for the club. Can you not think of a constructive way of helping the club's situation?
  13. No one said its all the supporters fault. But why are you still here and what are you trying to achieve?
  14. Well, this thread is depressing. I'm disappointed so many are so weak of heart and mind, and willing to throw in the towel so quickly. It's a shame, but it's also symptomatic of our failure as a club. Fringe dwellers who, whilst not being in an official capacity with the club, have power and an influence on the culture. Those same people with not the patience, technical knowledge, or fortitude to support the club through a long and difficult phase. Those puzzling types on this very forum who seem to delight in leading the charge to sack all and sundry at the club. The ones gleefully trying to play the pied piper in imploring others to hand back their memberships and stop turning up. For what end I do not know, as I can't figure out what it will achieve save for more of what they "supposedly" detest. We need guts and gumption. From ALL corners of the club. We need change. But not the type most are calling for.
