  1. Do we know when the exit interviews will happen? I remember Neil Craig saying it was a Wednesday? Is it this Wednesday? I'm really interested to see who Roosy will cut and who he thinks he can improve.

Would of thought he would want a look at the young players before he cuts them. But then again Casey are done now so who knows when it will be.... when is the deadline day for delistements?

  2. I think it would be so harsh to get rid of Tynan or Taggert, both injured for majority of 2012 and if I remember correctly neither got a full pre season in this year?

Also what is the point on cutting a 19 and 20 year old just to pick up 2 more 18 year olds, already put 2 years into these ones may as well give them another year or 2 now that they have the weight on. Its likely we would be cutting them for picks 60 and above so we are just going backwards again... knowing our board this will probably happen and we will go further back. Tynan played round 1 last year and had 14 possesions and didn't look out of place, got injured in round 2 and out for most of year before back in rd23. Taggert injured for whole year. Suprised neither got a game this year after they both showed good form in VFL at stages.

Hope the board see's it this way.

I think we should delist Nicholson, Sellar, Davis, Couch, Gillies. Rodan, JMAC and Davey are retired. Trade Watts and Magner.

  3. So bad how our website hasn't updated some of the player heights and weights, I know for a fact Tynan is more then 76kgs, was 83 when I asked him if he had put anything on, and that was mid-year. Great review by the way, very fair, unbias and detailed :)

  4. Was at the game and Jetta was great. Gawn was very good to, Gillies gave Casey a chance, and was promising up forward.

Also saw Hogan and large limp on him. Can walk without crutches but saw him walking with them later on just for support. He was very keen to be out there.

  5. In regards to Tynan and Taggert - only one of them can be kept in my opinion. Taggert is the keeper, has more aspects to like such as size and goal kicking nous.

We cannot afford to keep a heap of players who are only solid VFL at this stage in the hope that they'll lift to AFL standard. It's just stupidity.

Thats the thing, we don't know if Tynan and Taggert can make it in the AFL. We need to see first, Tynan played round 1 last year and got 14 possesions, not a standout achievement but certainly not bad for an 18 year old bottom end draft pick at the time. In my opinion its worth giving 1 more year to them both. Shame we couldn't see them more this year. Guess contracts isn't in our hand though, will certainly be interesting to see who they cut come years end.

I would just hate to see our club who is trying to develop a good young team, to cut young players. Think we have some older blokes who are past it, and some 22-25 year olds that just aren't gonna make it. But then again who knows what they will do... the way we have been going something stupid probably will happen.

  6. Why delist Tynan??? 2nd year player, still 19. Makes no sense to get rid of him. He has been in good form in VFL until he went off injured last week, was on track for a game. So young, got potential and got fight, leads tackles most weeks for Casey so obviously wants to be out there unlike half of the players in Melbourne's first side. Think he deserves 1 more year, same goes for Taggert.

  7. How bad is it that Tynan had the same amount, or more tackles then over half of the players playing on that stats sheet, and he was injured early in the first quarter.... not sure weather thats a positive for his development, or a really bad thing on the players he has more than, especially the mids/defensive players. Hmm, anyway, good Casey got a win

  8. Best Tynan was Luke, Josh was off in the first quarter after going for a high mark, maybe concussion. Spoke to him at three quarter break stated he was ok but Dr wanted him to get checked out.

Ah yeah, if Josh had a good game today I would of guessed he would be pushing for selection. Still hope to see him and Taggert by years end.

  9. Thanks as usual for all the updates KC, always appreciated.

Any word on Toumpas, Tynan, and Taggert? They're the 3 guys who i think could break into the senior team next week with a good game this week.

Yeah how are these blokes going? It's great just to be able to jump on here and see your updates, thanks alot mate :)

  10. Strauss not named for Casey and listed as emergency for Dees. Considering Casey play Sunday you'd have no reason not to name Strauss unless he's a certainty to play for Melbourne.

So look out for a late change. Don't tell the Gold Coast!

    Strauss in for Pedersen.
  11. I would really like to see both Taggert and Tynan, Tynan probably in for Frawley though, same sort of position although can't see Tynan playing against a no.1 forward in just his 3rd game. Also would love to see Taggert as we just need to experiment with our list! Havn't seen him yet and hardly seen Tynan, contracts out at end of year, surely they will get a 3rd year, but who knows. Gotta see if they have AFL potential first I guess.
