I just loved the fact they didn't drop their heads like last year....showed great fight to keep in the game.
I actually think if we had another 2 minutes longer in the last qtr, we may have snatched a win.
Keep it up fellas, on and upward!!!!!!

Okay, here's one from left field.
I went to attend the Port Melbourne v Casey practice match last year with dog in tow and was denied entry to the ground by some officious security person.
Does anyone know if you can take dogs to the practice match on Thursday?
*slinks off waiting for a barrage of jokes.....*
Bit harsh that they didn't let your misses in....
Sorry BB, couldn't help myself

I spotted PJ in one of the sponsors tents. I couldn't help mysef...I walked straight up to him, shook his hand and thanked him for everything he has done.

He is actually a very good photographer... well above average I would say, with a very good eye for composition and mood which in this day and age of digital photography, is probably the difference between success and failure.
But I would say that he is far from finished with his football career... he strikes me as the kind of person who will not leave while there is unfinished business.
Yep. He'll have plenty of time after he finishes his career to play with his lense.

Clark is finished. Forever.
Oh no, are you serious....
What a stupid post!

Hmmm, doubt it.For 2 years now i have been waiting for Jack Fitzpatrick to explode in the forward line and become the player we all think he is capable of, 200cm, speed and can take a mark, Paul Roos is his chance, can he play in defence, we need a 200cm player down there or does Jack have to wait for the opportunity up forward and that means injuries..
I would be disappointed if he was to leave the MFC for opportunity elsewhere...
It would be disappointing to see him leave through lack of game time - but given our injury ridden forwards I don't think this will be an issue.

Round 1 vs Port Adelaide 79 points, biggest joke I have ever sat through considering all the build up over the pre season, I respect the dedicated who have been members through the tough times, but for myself and wife we couldn't sign after that. Reasonable?
I find it intriguing that people can be so passionate enough about the team to waste time on this site...yet they won't put their money where their mouth is and help support the club financially.

I watched a replay of an 2012 interview with Sheedy on Open Mike the other day. Even though Jackson sacked him, Sheedy still thought Jackson was the best CEO he had ever worked with.

Saturday 12th April
However you may not get your wish as Robinson is not a regular starter at the Blues nowadays.
You may have to rely on Casey.
Love to see both Riley and Tappy play this match, hit him from every angle.
Seeing that germ flattened would be as good as a win IMO.

I still am haunted by last year's practice matches -
The port match gave me hope and made me think that we could have turned a corner, for this to be shattered a couple of weeks later by the saints....then the season proper OMG.
I think I'll go in hibernation until NAB cup is over and maintain this 2014 hope.

Chip has got 9mths before his Contract is up. I cannot blame him for wanting to see how we're traveling before signing an extension...
The poor backline has been slaughtered the past 2 seasons by oppositions inside 50's. If things don't improve, why would you sign up for that constant bombardment again!

Correct me if I'm wrong - has the club actually came out and said he suffered a hamstring injury, or are we going off a post from someone on this site thinking he saw him grab his hamstring and get it looked at?

I could be way off, but wasn't today a closed session?

I hope this doesn't jinx us - but I dreamt last night that we flogged Saints Rd1 and the boys played this amazing running and attacking brand of footy. It was such flogging that the team ran a lap of the oval afterwards to thank the crowd for sticking by them....
Here's hoping it comes true...

^^ That's a classic Ronny!
Congrats on on your boy.
I stuck to my guns and signed my little guy up this week. As you said, hopefully some of our kids stick with the club for the long haul - poor buggers

Or supporters.
My Grandmother was French, so there is some Froggy blood in me (although diluted considerably by alcohol)- does that count?

Hmmmm, trolling around for suckers are we Household?

How long until the footy starts again???

Dean Kent might be our best player in 5 years
He has superstar written all over him, I dont see one weakness in his game
He reminds me a lot of Stuart Dew with the way he plays and that long left foot kick of his.

AmazIng the amount of injuries we have had since Dave Misson came to the club
Agree.
I find it concerning how many of our players have suffered foot injuries in the past two years. I checked other teams injury list last year, and they barely had any.

Yep. I'm doing the same thing. My son was born on NYE. My wife has already approved of me getting him a MFC Membership.
Congrats SRJ!
I've laid the groundwork with my wife already, so it shouldn't come as too much of a shock for her

I know my wife will have me in the dog kennel for this - but I'm about to sign up my son who is 18 days old!

What would you like for Christmas? Be creative lads..
For me it would be Cotchin to return a positive sample or Eddie booted for a drunken racial rant..
Merry Christmas!!
My wife just gave birth to my first son 2 days ago and was five and a half weeks early by emergency cesarean. Both wife and son are going well so far.
Other than having the best possible present already, all I want now for Christmas is them to remain healthy.

I hate Barrett, he is such a dick!
You could see the smirk on his face as he spoke about it.
