  1. Roos mentioned on 360 that he is good mates with Pert from Collingwood and they touched base prior to having a coffee with Harry O. It could be possible that we only found out that MC was looking around via Pert checking with Roos prior to the supposed meeting with MC and Pies.

Roos did also mentioned that he had been trying to catch up with MC for a couple of weeks.

  2. Just clarifying the situation: did I hear Ox say, tonight, that MC received $2 million for a total of 15 games?

    Cheeses.

Heard his manager on SEN. What a scumbag.

Yep, supposedly 700k per year and managed to play 15 over the 3 years

Bloody hell it was great to watch his efforts and ability, he always tried his guts out.

  3. Really?? sometimes it's just not worth it mate, it really isn't...

"dog act" - it's almost as if you're saying it because everyone else is.

Heaven forbid MFC help out a guy that has depression to get him back on his feet, a guy that put his head on the line every time he ran out on the filed for us (sometimes even bloody landing on it!) a guy that took his health in to his own hands and said that he had to step away to get it right.

You fickle little vermin that keep calling it a "dog act" really need to start coming up with your own opinions because this "dog act" comment doesn't fly.

If anything this could be a success story for Melbourne - able to get a bloke that was done and dusted and in the lowest point of his career and life and we've been able to assist in getting him right enough to not only look forward in his life but actually get back to doing what he loves - wherever that may be.

I continue to support the MFC for assisting Mitch with this and acknowledge we will be rewarded for it in one way or another. COUNT ON IT.

Not a dog act, go read GNF's recent post.

    Yours truly,

    fickle little vermin

  4. Guys, really, just showing a pretty poor level of maturity here, without pulling out the "I've gone through this or I have a friend" lines - Mitch was genuinely a very sick person and it still surprises me now after the recent news and education pieces following Robin Williams etc. that people still have this outlook on people that have been ill will depression.

I'm right there with everyone that it is painful to imaging Mitch playing in other colours next year but we WILL be compensated in one way or another, lets try and be mature enough to say "it's crap that you're not playing for us any more - but it's good to see that you're well."

I've got faith that Roosy and PJ will look after us to get us through.

Sure I feel sorry for MC with his illness.

However, if I see him run out in another clubs colours. No illness will excuse that dog act after all the support we have shown him.

  5. I don't know what it is either, but I'm guessing it's not legal ;)

Lol, unfortunately I can't blame that.

The reason why I mention Jurrah, is Roos was quizzed about him on 360 around a month ago - he looked awkward and sheepish.

    Anyways, we can only dream.

  6. I don't believe a word that [censored] Barrett says.

If he has made his mind up (which seems to be the case), then I for one are thankfull for his efforts - I remember reading a stat, that no other player has seen the ball come into the defensive 50 as much as what he has.

If you are gone Chip, then thank you.....and btw thanks afl for pick 3 (hopefully)

  7. All jokes aside, the sight of Clark and Hogan in the team next year, would do wonders for the rest of the team and the supporters.

If Mitch ever takes the field for us again, I would be as happy as the day we signed Roosy.

  8. ^^ Potato, potatoe....each person will interpret it differently.

I will say that I have a lot more faith with this recruitment team than previously. However, I don't think you could blame me for being apprehensive about every pick we choose, especially given our track history.

  9. I just cannot understand some of the simple and basic skill errors our boys make....

For example - I remember my coach telling me in under 12's "what's the point of kicking it over the leading players head, at least put it in front of him so he has a chance of getting it"

FMD with disposals like our players dish up its no wonder we can't take a mark in our forward 50.

  10. wait so Nic Nat is out and replaced by a small speedster, and we didnt take an emergency over in case something like this happened?

    Ridiculous

Ha, if only our players can kick and hit a target (other than straight to the opposition), it could have been a masterstroke.
