  1. SEN were talking up Wright as being the best tall prospect they have seen. They rate him higher than Danniher.

It would be awesome to have Gawn rucking with Wright and Hogan forward. Imposing. Especially with Watts and Salem delivering the ball to them.

i haven't seen anything awesome about Gawn thus far apart from his height measurement.

  2. You need another hobby to distract you from the likely train wreck of the 2014 season

    Or eat more banana's

OD the MFC was so bad it will take years to recover. Personally I believe there is nothing else that can be done until the team can substantially be replaced.

I totally agree. Most of this team is well below AFL standard. We looked like a joke team against WC. It was totally embarrassing. This is beyond lack of development or psychological problems. It's simple lack of ability. Grimes can't kick and when he does it's straight to the opposition. Watts has some natural ability but is too much of a public schoolboy and not enough of a mongrel. Jones has little ability, makes dumb decisions, thinks he's big enough to break packs and constantly ends up on the bottom of packs. At least he is a great trier. The rest of them need to go and be replaced by some big, strong , aggressive men who enjoy the game and play to win.
  3. What a terrible game today. I'm so depressed. Why have we had such a long run of bad luck? Why are all our forwards injured or psychologically unfit at the start of a new season? All we can look forward to is a better second half of the season or a wooden spoon and yet more draft picks who are not guaranteed to be any good at all...

  4. Trengove and watts are not living up to their draft pick status. Grimes can't kick. Jones tries very hard but skill errors lead to turnovers. Spencer is not afl standard. We desperately need some forwards. Howe doesn't care. There is a general lack of intensity

  5. Meanwhile, it is just an impression I'm getting, but there seem to be a scattering of injury layoffs being extended unexpectedly. I wonder if this is a perception created by more optimistic reporting in the first place (maybe Nick Smith would be know as '2-2-4' these days) or whether there is actually a recovery issue beginning to work it's way into the game?

Yes hadn't you noticed this over the past 3 years? MFC report that a player will be out for 1-2 or 2-3 weeks and then it's 6-8 before they're back. It's standard. They must think we're idiots.
