  1. Rolly,

He's a journalist or in other words a "merchant of chaos". Ignore him he's a [censored]

so is robbo, so is whately, so are the many many journo's who can belt the dees when we deserve it but are also able to pay credit where its due.

it just baffles the mind, specifically on the viney bump, that he can take the stand he has when even people like kev bartlett and the out going chief are questioning the verdict

  2. i can't understand why this guy hates the dees so badly

every time he writes or talks about melb it is in the harshest tones and full of ridicule

from his views regarding the tyson/salem/kelly trade right up to his latest crap about the viney bump it seems like he jumps at any chance to sink in the boot

anyone able to shed any light on where the hate started?

  3. from what roosy said in his post match wouldnt be surprised if georgeiou misses and garland would be the logical replacement

any other changes would have to be based on how watts/frawley come up

cant see how viney would miss as his bump was shoulder to shoulder

  4. So I'm thinking Salem will be the super-sub again this week.

You know, because this IS a thread about Christian Salem.

Just thought I'd throw in a comment about him.

i hope he gets a full game, would rather have byrnes as the sub

  5. my only concern is that gysberts had 30odd in his debut and where is he now?

one performance does not a champion make.

i loved what i saw and am quietly confident we have a real player who could turn inti anything but i'm not going to nominate him fo AA for a couple more weeks yet

  6. didnt look out of place but had alot of strapping on his hands (extra grip i hope)

what struck me was his ability to pick the right option with his kicks (love to know his ball retention/efficiency stats)

    threw his body around

but the best sign was the entire team getting around him after the goal...looking more and more like a team that wants to play with and for each other

  7. seems like it is aimed at those fans who believe that if the dees arent performing then they dont deserve any money.

they for the most part would not have bought memberships in the recent past, even if they did many years ago

during a more succesful era but might find this a way to have their cake and eat it to

    a. the dees dont win and they save their cash

    b. yeah it costs a bit of coin but who wouldnt pay to see some melbourne success

  8. I'll have another go.

    Terlich, Frawley, Garland

    Clisby, McDonald, Grimes

    Watts, Cross, Trengove

    Howe, Dawes, Vince

    Hogan, Clark, Byrnes

    Gawn, N Jones, Viney

    M Jones, Fitzpatrick, Toumpas, Tyson

    byrnes- premiership player

    dawes- premiership player

    vince- b n f

    cross- b n f

    jamar- AA

    frawley- AA

trengove, watts, tyson, toumpas, hogan play to their draft position

viney, jones, clark, garland, grimes you know what your going to get

you gots ta love december dreaming lol

  9. anyone have first hand info on James Toohey?

working purely from his bio/ highlight vid (which are obviously going to be as flattering as possible)

low 3sec 20m sprint is pretty astounding for a bloke that big and while the chargers didn't have a massive year, any B&F carries weight

could potentially hold whichever gorilla Mcdonald doesn't have, freeing up chip for a bit more run and carry

  10. i think that cross still has alot to offer and as a delisted free agent is basically free.

in the pre season his professionalism and work rate will be an example to others thereby

raising the overall performance of the group

in the season he will add a big body to aid our developing mids and, whilst coming off

a season where he averaged 20+ touches, he will be contributing personally thereby

raising the overall performance of the group

in any hypothetical post season matches his maturity and experience (i think he played on those

preliminary finals) will assist in directing and focusing the intent of team mates thereby

raising the overall performance of the group

  11. if we can get an instant impact player at #9 like richmond got with vlaustin

it will cap off one hell of a sucessful trade/draft period.

i like the sound of lennon or freeman but love crouch's agro

saw an interview where it turned out brad crouch missed a crows training

session with concussion because young matt had belted him in the backyard.

the dees could use some of this mongrel and aggression

  12. sign him up...imo the rookie list should always have a project tall or two-still spewing will didn't take louis herbert last year

haretuku on a two year deal will see him through to the age of 25/26 which is around the time the bigger guys should start peaking
