I,ve bought a membership knowing full well that I can't get to many games as I work weekends. However, I shall be driving the 200 kms there and back and will get home around midnight, then get up for an early start next day. Personally, I enjoy Etihad stadium and think it's a great ground to watch the action reasonably close up. Also, as I've saved a bit on petrol not going to the G this year, I'll treat myself and park underneath for the convenience. So anyone who is sitting on the fence about turning up or not- get off your bloody arses and support your team!

My father died 12 years ago from the dreaded Jimmy Dancer (his was inoperable). I have fond memories as a child going to the footy with him to watch the Dees. Just before he died he gave me his prized possession- a bottle of Demons Premiership Port, purchased from the club in the early eighties, with instructions to open it and share it with my sons when we win our next Premiership. There now seems a real possiblity of the bottle being opened soon. Good luck with your Mum, she'll enjoy the Premiership when it comes.
