I get what you're saying, what I mean though is that the running of it is easier if you just have a league. Means no-one has to do the sums. But yeah, probably gets us off this thread... or even worse makes this thread all about fantasy NFL, which isn't what we're looking for. I'll keep floating it each year until we get enough bites. The way I see it there's probably 6 guys in here that definitely have the league-wide knowledge to make a good fist of fantasy. Yourself, me, Gorg, JV.... and a couple of others I forget.
-
Yeah. Would actually be super time consuming if, say, 8-10 players played. Also, people will lose interest if they lose even one guy. Have you played fantasy before? The site makes it good and easy. If we had enough guys pay attention, I wouldn't mind setting it up and running it.

AND JUST LIKE THAT!!! Gurley man!
-
Picked up Kupp after week 1 in fantasy, he's looking good for me. In a team with Hopkins, OBJ and Cobb he nestles in comfortably. Also have the Gurley man who is currently RB2 in fantasy.

Why do we not have a fantasy comp for players on here?

WOO HOO! My first points of the year thanks to Arizona being marginally less terrible than Indi. Meanwhile. KC. Damn fine football team.
-
But... no-one is? He's literally the only guy we've seen in his stratosphere in 20 years. The expectation that we have a Buddy when 17 other clubs are in the same boat is ludicrous.
-
I feel like everyone will pick very similarly this week. I'll take Pats, Cards and Titans.
-
Yup. I like the memes celebrating them being over .500 for the first time in 7 years.
-
Really liked the Rams today. And thought the boys have really turned up. Giants are a good side, and especially good D. Early days but they're my #1 side. Weekend still belongs to KC though.
-
Ah ok. I thought it was more like the shudder you'd do cos you're picking the pies... lol Meh. Pretty stinking horrible game. Lots to like, but more to build on.
-
My boys took care of you. Time to show them some respect.

All sensible (except for the 6 games part. Seems he's playing the year now). I reckon though it's a more-or-less league-wide opinion that while Zeke is good, it's the OL that makes this team. They made two rookies of the year in Dak and Zeke. If they're all there, fit and playing... then I don't think it matters who they give it to. personally I have Boys at 12-4... possibly 14-2... at WORST 10-6 as you say, on the strength of that OL and Dak. Also I think their D will improve a lot. They've put a lot of work into it. Lee is still there, Lawrence, Taco. They've snuck up on us.
-
Wow. Eagles? I'm a fan, but jeez. I can't see us getting anywhere near Giants or Cowboys... and probably struggling against Skins TBH.
-
Steelers, Panthers, Colts for me... Don't forget to pick @Kraken
-
They are very very hard to get a hold of, of course. And they're also dead useless without the ball getters. And yeah... I think we still could use a guy or two... A McGovern for example... But really, there are a lot of lists worse off than us. Take your point though.

Very interesting. Great post. I don't necessarily agree, but still... Contested marking I think we're in good shape. From Hogan and Tmac to lesser lights like Petracca, Hunt. Obviously a lot hinges on Weed but it's early days. I'm not saying we're in amazing shape or that we couldn't use a Benny Brown... but I certainly think there's more pressing concerns. For me it's outside skill (or skill in general) and pace. I reckon Lever will be a great addition. Looking at him on the weekend he's really good man on man for a young kid. And having him and Hibberd floating in front of packs means TMac can go back to Gorilla slaying. He's being asked ot do way too much. And yeah I agree... The year overall has been MASSIVELY positive. Noone seems to talk about it or realise we won 12 games and unearthed some absolute guns. Some of them were known entities that we didn't even know could be that good, like track and Oliver. We're in great shape.
-
That is absolutely absurd. Averaging 30 touches a game, was the main engine room... Was in most impartial media's 22 at the halfway point, and didn't slow down as the season progressed. I'm blown away. And Walker and Jonas got in. Unbelievable.
-
He went off after a quarter. What did you expect? You think he couldn't have still kicked a bag? So that's the requirement now? They all have to be Buddy? Fair dinkum. He kicked 6 last week with almost no preparation. He'd have made a huge difference.
-
Has anyone put any thought into the absolute mauling we've managed to avoid? Hogan hamstring means Weed would have played. We might have broken records.

I was highlighting the Lewis part only. Apologies for not being clearer. Vince's kicking is high risk. He's getting older and is starting to belt blokes. Goody knows and both have said publicly already that if he wants to play next year he will have to spend some time in the VFL. IN other words, he's a role player. As always he's played some sensational footy for us and been not so great other times. Is always reliable to have a dip though, and is a better option that some of the other players like JKH at this stage. Lewis will finish high on our B and F. He's nowhere near knackered. In fact, while the rest of the team went on break a month early he held his head up. The last few rounds we'd have been out weeks ago without him. Without a doubt the weirdest movement on demonland these days is the sack Lewis movement. I suspect it has to do with the fact he's playing a different role in this squad and is an ex Hawk. Can't be form, skill or application. He's been great all year while excuses are made for others. Vince will play 10-15 games next year and then retire a few rounds before the end. Lewis will go as close as he can to 22 injury and suspension permitting... then will do what Vince does this coming season, only a year later. We traded for him for 3 years, and that's what we'll get. Trade him? Seriously? Do you know what we gave up to get him? Next to nothing. You think he'd be worth more now?
-
Yeah I didn't suggest they were core. Core is guys like Hogan, Trac, Oliver, Gawn, Viney.. guys you pay huge dollars to and keep for ten years rain hail or shine... The guys outside the core are what I'm talking about. Lewis will play 22 next year but after that will probably either retire or do what Vince is going to do next year, and play 12 games. If we don't already have replacements, we need to draft them. Tyson is good trade bait. He's a good player with bad disposal. You wouldn't get much but you'd get something. I would argue though that his age profile means he could be almost considered core. Salem too is pretty much core for me. By FAR our biggest need is skill. Salem is one of our top lads, and hasn't got deficiencies that get in his way.

Yeah I reckon the call to drop him was a tough one... and was a bit 50-50... And as you say, it looks like it wasn't the right call. I suspect if he's at demons next year, he'll be behind Lever too. So it's a tough one. TBH tho, I don't reckon you could get the extra 20 percent in the team we needed to get through to finals. From the point we were 3-5 we were playing elimination finals every week. 14 elimination finals in a row. Phew. It's a miracle we got 4 wins in a row at all.
