Our post office is selling a set of stamps of the current team(as they are of other AFL teams) Can get a set for about $11.00 nicely set out in a laminated folder with access to the players you want to keep, post off or delist!! There are only 20 players shown and oddly Jarrod Rivers and others are missing. Our town is small and only had 2 sets for the Melb. team. Raced down there to beat the rush. Can't figure out why some players were in and others left out. Well done to Belly for making it past his first round of Lou's handball on Sunday too.

All genuine supporters will be going to the game if they can get a seat. Some of the rest (genuine ones) will watch TV and the remainder(eg the rats who have left the sinking ship twice already )should find themselves another team or spend the day looking up the dictionary meaning of "support" and "fan".

No 21. I've read reports on here how good he was with the kids at a few of those footy clinics. Gets down to their level. There's even a cute King Charles Spaniel pooch at the Sandringham games that wears his number. (and another wears one for Bruce) Wouldn't that make a cute photo for the memoirs?

Does anyone know the reasoning behind the interchange rule in the Nab Cup. My theory is its been introduced to slow the game down and this in turn would reduce the severity of impact injuries. (bit the same as the take 5 off campaign for cars has done). I hear a few coaches grizzling that it will be dangerous to the health of the players but would that only be if they tried to maintain the pace they are accustomed to without the benefit of extra player interchanges. I am really only seeking the logic behind it, not necessarily whether you agree or disagree with it.

We used to sit and talk to Troy at some of the Sandy games. He was a true gentlman, both kind and thoughtful. He was a good role model for some of the younger players at the club and wasn't influenced by the mob. He had strong values and was heading in a good direction til his life was tragically cut short. Don't think he even had a mobile ph (probably relied on Trish's if that was the case)

The young ones start early in the New Year (date unknown but you may be right) and the older guys the following Monday I think.

Personally I think you have too many dislikes in this team to be a true fan, however, you are entitled to your opinion. Would you mind giving us some pretty good reasons why you "hate" David Neitz. Most think he has been a darn good Captain and player who has the respect of his team mates. Have you ever met him?? What exactly do you dislike and hopefully you can back it up with facts and not bulldust.

Just curious Joeboy? I base my comments in this forum purely as a result of watching a lot of games and listening to the commentators. Like many, I have no deep understanding of the finer points and technicalities of the game mainly due to never having played. Just wondering what your qualifications are when you"mark their exam papers" every week. Have you been a coach and if so what level did you go to or were you ever a player and again what standard did you reach? How many years did you play or work as a volunteer. Just curious as sometimes you are spot on and at other times like a few others, seem not to be at the same game. In saying that, this is not meant to be a criticism as we all have our own opinions and interpretations of similar passages of play. Just curious about you association with the game in the past that allows you to give us a picture of player performance every week.

Has anyone had a chance to see any of the State Under 18's teams in action in Melbourne yet? I hear Belly has a cousin playing for the Vic Country team who is wearing his number. Saw them in action in Adelaide and most looked good so don't know how they can sort them out. The SA team kicked butt that day .

Is there a number to ring, a website to go to, a program to download first or a place to purchase plus approximate cost. If you have a clue could you please put it in simple English(don't assume a lot of computer expertise here) plus write it down step by step if it is more than a couple of processes. Thanks

I am sorry. I can't be sure as they were in a group. They appeared to be staring at Nathan Carrol at one stage but don't know if it was in reference to that remark or another. I guess a trip to training for a peek then cast your votes for the top 3 contenders. There have been some really good replies on this site. Sorry , not sure about the socks but they did add this player had a good upper body supported by chicken legs

One of our players was overheard describing another as having "chicken legs" (probably when his socks were down) Any guesses? Think they must have been referring to the shape of them for sure and not about his approach to the contest. Just a bit of midweek trivia to see who gets the fan vote in this area. Best legs may also deserve a mention.

Your seeing eye dog must be constantly tripping you up in order to create so much critical spirit in one person. Jumping back on the band wagon later on doesn't let you off either.

Does anyone understand how the player ranking system works in the official A.F.L statistics which appear in the papers? The average appears on the right hand column and the particular game they're playing appears on the left. It intrigues me how the rankings don't have any correlation to the best players that appear in the same paper. In other words how do they work it out each week please? Thanks

Saw Peter Walsh on the weekend in Adelaide. Spoke to him briefly. He is now playing for West Adelaide. Had niggling injuries etc. towards the end of his career, but his recruitment to Port gave him an extra 2 years he didn't expect to have which was great. At the moment he is out with a hammy. He is also the proud father of a 10 week old baby boy and is enjoying Adelaide. (Less traffic) Very nice man to talk to. Naturally, still has distinctive red hair so can be spotted from a distance.

Before he goes would you mind letting him know which of the other 15 clubs you actually barrack for so he can avoid that one. After viewing quite a few of your ill informed posts you can't seriously believe that we all think you are a genuine supporter of this club but rather one of those rogue people from another club who comes in purely to stir. Move on or get your facts right.

Master Demon Right. I love demonland, and ordinarily I wouldn't dream of telling anyone what to think, but I've come on here to absolutely smack some of you closed-minded, trolling little children into submission. And I'm doing it because you deserve it with some of the garbage you've written on here. Fantastic, best thread I 've seen in a long time and probably there are other players who deserve the attention you could give them in contrast to the continuous criticism by other members.
