would also want their 1st round.
why tf would MFC want a forward, we have plenty of them, with JVR looking good for the future.
we need AAA midfielders, especially if one is leaving in this scenario

apologies if this has been covered elsewhere (please link me if so)
i really want to understand in detail, the mechanics behind the MFC change in strategy and to see where our machine has broken down.
is it possible to plot out a blueprint (like a car) of how the MFC worked from 2021-2023 (which worked pretty well) and what was changed to leave us with the 2024 machine (which did not work)
if we understand the machine we can understand what needs to be changed.
is it strategy?
is it player related?
which part of the machine failed, and how can we fix it?
Cheers

shocked and devastated at the news, hopefully he lives a long and peaceful life.
angry at the injustice of how we ended up here.
he needs a development role asap, need to harness the "energy" this situation will generate. his selflessness cannot be lost.
longer term, this could be very interesting from a salary cap point of view. we could keep more stars for longer or maybe even poach a star to keep our window open for longer. the spreadsheet staff will be having a field day!

Like many, i have day dreamed the moment where you knew the game was over and when the song played after the final siren. if i was an actor and needed to cry, id just think of these moments 😂
it goes back to when i was a kid when leigh matthews got to the boundary from the box in the 1990 GF and did the fist pump.
When Fristch kicked the 2nd goal on the 4th, that moment happened for me. i had a meltdown. a lifetime of day dreaming came true.
the rest was a blur. still cant believe it - feels like the world has blended into an alternate reality with my dreams.

means a lot. its hard to make the GF, harder to win it. some of the best players of their era never won a flag for whatever reason.
the fact that your passion and emotion makes no difference each year, only the team can achieve success.
to have so many years of bad luck, lack of passion, ineptitude etc from either players or staff made being a supporter hard. especially as basically every other team has tasted success and just about everyone you know has experienced that winning feeling .. i could only dream about it. even richmond, ninthmond, won a bloody premiership, its just so cruel.
for this team to join the list of premiership sides would be an amazing feeling and i would honestly feel like i have joined a special "club" that goes back over 100 years.

It was interesting seeing the doggies all down some pints after the game last week to get to the GF, I’m not sure if we did the same (someone can maybe she’d light on this) but it kind of looked like they were already celebrating as if they’d won it. I’m hoping they’re getting their heads nice and big, our boys sound focused and I’m happy with that.
Just on a different topic, I’m not sure if people mentioned it in the game thread last week but it was really interesting to see the cats players lining up disconnected, while we linked arm in arm. I wasn’t sure if it was a choice by the cats leaders or whether it just happened but it definitely looked like our players were with each other while the cats looked like how they lost, as individuals.
even my unfamiliar with AFL family members watching the PF could tell how close the team was, they would run through walls for each other and played with incredible passion. 18PF was irrelevant. I dont think any other team can match this. Their will and pressure can outlast the dogs.

i re-watched the last Q of the R19 game. Dogs got to the ball first in stoppages quite frequently, with little pressure from dees players. they quickly got the ball to the outside.
there is no chance this happens as easily/often in the GF, the pressure on the ball and outside players will be immense.
pressure, locking the ball inside 50 and accuracy are the key areas to winning (which is probably obvious).

Our rucks are substantially better than their and we can match them in the mid field. It will be close all day but l predict we will overwhelm them in the final quarter. Go Dees!
in the two matches this year Dees won center clearances while dogs won stoppage. it is likely we would win center clearances again in the GF.
