  1. Ten days off the grog! How do you think I feel Red?

And I thought after these years of reading your posts I was getting to know you, now you are telling me that you only indulge very moderately! I rather enjoyed the old BBO, brought many laughs to this office when required.

  2. Jizza- if I need a cultural dessert to depress me I shall make my way to beech Forrest .

In the meantime,I would rather disembowel myself with a blunt knife than visit a non smoking philistine like yourself.

No offence personally, but I am a sophisticate and cannot abide enduring, proud ,idiocy.

Hey Biff, been meaning to ask for a while now, have you had a visit lately from your good mate Reginald? You know, quiet odd flying patterns.

  3. I care!

I lost one that would have easily been 80cm plus on Saturday night. Cut me off diving under a log

Thanks Hellfish nice to know, I was in my hobie kayak and it was on but I couldn't get over top of the big fella and he did pretty much the same diving under some timber. The worst thing is this one teases me as it is pretty much just over the road from where I live and I have been after him for a while now.

  4. I think another point worth noting is that our playing list are not only learning the game plan, but they are also starting to understand the ways of Roos. One thing that stood out last year was Roos sticking to minimal team changes to try to provide stability within the playing group. I would be hoping that all on our list will have that exact thought constantly resinating in the back of their mind and they will be pushing themselves that little extra to make certain that they are first selected. As they will know that once a starting 22 is named and they are not in it, they will have to work exceptionally hard at Casey to get a look in.

  5. As Lao Tzu once said, "The longest march starts with a single step". I think the beginning of our march took place, with the appointment of Peter Jackson.

Sweety we are on the way! To quote the Proclaimers "We're on the way from misery to happiness today - uha uha"

Damn you ManDee, now I will have that stupid song stuck in my head for the rest of the day!

  6. We have enough facilites to match anyone...we need the players to match anyone..thats the ONLY priority right now

let the other clever lads in the backrooms sift through what options are around etc.

Clubs like the Pies always have an eye to greater things ( currently musing over their own stadium apparently ) and so ought we but we arent falling behind.

    bloody MFCCS .ffs..

Don't tell me BB that there is another more deadly version of MFCSS out there! That is all we need.

  7. If any club deserves to go under its the Western Bulldogs. Shifty underhanded pricks- steal our Mission sponsorship, steal Norths Ballarat deal.. They do business like their names sake- pack of dogs.

I am picking up a vibe that you don't think much of the Bulldogs sweet dee!

  8. I was reading an article today about a woman with a leech up her nose that grew there for a month.

It got me thinking about the wonders of ancient medicine and I recalled that leeches produce an anticoagulant that will help blood to move to the area where they are applied.

Now I'm sure JT has had enough parasites feeding off him for a lifetime but while he is sitting on the couch playing puzzles I think it would be a great idea to give these suckers a go.

I recall hearing that slow blood flow is the reason the navicular takes so long to heal.

If I am correct I expect to be hired as club Witch Doctor forthwith and i will put my mind to lifting the curse.

    Dr Biff,WD.

Love it Biff, thanks for making work today a little more bearable.

  9. It would kind of suck next year playing for Essendon if you hadn't been involved in the shenanigans yet you had to play for no points and or were getting pumped week after week cos half the team was banned.

I totally agree, and this couldn't happen to a nicer bloke in Brendan Gaddard (I can't stand that guy). Everytime I think of this it delivers a very happy sensation (I know what you are thinking BBO). I really must say though that I find all this so strange, I am so used to all this negative press and news usually being directed at us. How good is this feeling of stability and it seems the only time we are making headlines is positive related news (I know we still have our issues).

  10. I would love Maynard to be there. Has been rated in the 20's in some mock drafts and FWIW his father played for Melb (and Fitzroy?)

The kid barracks for Melbourne to boot.

Pick 20: Greater Western Sydney – Brayden Maynard

    Position: Forward

    Height: 186cm, Weight: 88kg, DOB: 20/09/1996

    Club: Sandringham Dragons

    Projected draft range: 20-30

    Player comparison: Ryan O’Keefe

Brayden Maynard is a slick utility type that does his best work off the packs with an ability to kick on either side of his body. The hard-nosed, balanced midfielder is somebody that is targeted by opposition teams to shut down, given his ability to quickly set up play and importantly stream forward to goal. He’s been utilised in an array of positions: however, he ultimately looms more of a forward type. However, with increased endurance and fitness, he has the potential to make the move into the midfield, whether permanently or as a rotation. Aside from his brilliant goal kicking, Maynard is an aerial specialist with strong hands in a contest, who also marks strongly around the ground. Although he isn’t a polished kick of the ball (operating at just 60 per cent disposal efficiency), he has a terrific base to work with, allowing a club to mould him into any type of role. He has been impressive so far during the Dragons’ finals campaign, featuring in the best on both occasions.

    Paige Cardona's

I have met Brayden a few times as he is the nephew of a very good friend of mine. He is a very impressive young man and the times I have spoken to him he has always spoken extremely highly of the MFC footy department. He said it was by far the toughest interview process he has gone through of any AFL team, and on that one of his fellow team mates Angus Brayshaw also quickly reiterated Brayden's view.

I would love to have him in our jumper, but unfortunately for us, I dont think he will still be there for us at our pick, as he has said several clubs have shown their interest in him with Gold Coast, Collingwood, Richmond & Adelaide telling him they would love to have him if he happens to slip past the mid 20's.
