  1. Just dropped an interview with Shaun Smith tonight on my podcast Lace Out. Smithy talks about 'that mark', the affect concussions are having on his life, how he got to the Dees in 1995 after a year in the VFL, his fondness for Jim Stynes and Sean Wight, Joel's mismanagement by the fitness staff in 2019 and much more. Smithy was open and nothing was off-limits for almost an hour and I'd like to share it with you all. To have a listen choose from any of these platforms: iTunes | Spotify | Google Podcasts | Stitcher |Anchor|
  2. Former Demons' CEO Peter Jackson will be our very special guest on the next Demonland Podcast on Wednesday 17th October @ 8:30pm. Let us know if you have a question for Peter. We'll also be doing a wrap up of Trade Week if we ever get around to doing any trades.
  3. In Part Two of my chat with Jack Fitzpatrick, he talks about what makes Alistair Clarkson special, how drafting top-end players was never going to solve Melbourne's problems without development, the similarities and differences between Nathan Jones and Luke Hodge as captains, his thoughts on free agency, the moment he found out he was never going to play the game he loves again, and so much more. Listen to Part Two and if you missed Part One with Fitzy, here it is.
  4. Saw this new interview with Ben Kennedy talking about his experiences renting with ex-teammate Adam Oxley from Collingwood. Thought I'd share for a bit of a laugh! “In this episode we chat with roommates and ex-team mates Adam Oxley and Ben Kennedy. This blossoming bro-mance is typical of any 2 boys renting in their 20’s and we talked to them about being drafted, living together, their dating lives and playing football against each other.” http://blog.realestateview.com.au/2016/07/adam-oxley-ben-kennedy-renter-collingwood-fc-melbourne-fc/
  5. Watched Jakes interview on MFC site and wanted to encourage us supporters to fully get behind this young man as he restarts his career at Melbourne. He's a talented mid, half back who should slot straight into our team and add value. He's been put through the meat grinder of the Dons drug fiasco and ensuing hearings. Suffering that he did nothing to cause. And he's our boy now, and I really wish him well. http://www.melbournefc.com.au/video/2015-12-08/china-southern-arrivals-lounge-jake-melksham
  6. A good article about Jack - Former No.1 draft pick Jack Watts ready to step up under Melbourne Demons coach Paul Roos I think playing on wing and Roos as coach is going to make the difference with him.
  7. Melbourne coach Mark Neeld hanging tough after nightmare start to season Not altogether that bad. There are clearly a few paragraphs that should be bolded because they have been said by MR, but have been attributed to Neeld. Notes that he reads letters sent to the club, and sometimes conveys them to the playing group, which should fill a few here with burgeoning sense of self-satisfaction. Any thoughts?
