  1. I know the rules, even the ones the AFL changes from year to year. I was at the game and the fact that the Port supporters around me were laughing at their good fortune with a lot of the calls tells me that we were right to blame the umpires to some extent for the result.
  2. I lik eand use both but It's the one area where 'ology has had it over 'land. A quantity of threads does not equate to quality. It's easy to say ignore the bad threads but then the good ones disappear too quick.
  3. Yep, my point was if that's the crux of the argument he's putitng up he will IMO need an almost inchorent jury to get it over the line.
  4. Just read the associated story. Defence lawyer Murley says Nath's dad should have "kept his mouth shut" and was the "author of his own misfortune" however on Mallinder he says he was a bit "exultant" and threw a "ripper" punch! WTF, can one of our legal eagles explain this [censored] weak interpretation of events?
  5. I'm in as willing contributor to any revival but unfortunately(?) I will be in Darwin. Look forward to hearing how it goes and as an occasional visitor to BC I'll back up that it is a great little venue, but it is in a terrible location and will need to be relocated to survive and thrive, more so if the pokies ever go!
  6. The most gutless and horrible act you would ever see, that was. No doubt it's in their genes. Don't you wish these blokes would just do the human race a favour? Unfortunately they continue to breed!
  7. They could have tested and examined the knee all they wanted. I had a sore one for years and scans, x-rays showed nothing. Perhaps it was Melbourne being too cautious or caring on the basis they thought the kid gloves would encourage him to stay? Maybe Tom was being too cautious (keep in mind he was on what he would now consider scab wages at the MFC) and he of course had never, ever spoken to anyone at GWS so he would not have wanted to take the cahnce of shortening his career given there was no big pay day coming!
  8. I'll bite! He probabaty faked it I sometimes wonder why the cowards don't ask him about it?
  9. Dunno, but they need to snag someone. Their two Marquee signings of Scully & Folau have been absolute duds. The lack of any GWS talk tells me they've got nothing yet as opposed to the very loud jungle drums of years past re: player movement. The other point is that there is a massive gap in their list between youngtsers and players who have just about had it. If they don't score a credentialled big name Gubby Allen and Sheeds with have substantial egg on their faces, AFL to the rescue?
  10. That pretty much sums it up. I would have bene happy with Jones as Cap but it really doen't matter because not everyone can be captain and he is a leader and role model in any case. What I want to now from the poll author is WTH is Jack Viney in there? Surely that's a joke?
  11. Justice as well for GC and escape from embarrasment for the AFL and the umps after that disgusting dive by Reilwoldt, what a cretin!
  12. Actually watching that now with the sound I have to say that the behaviour of the 7 commentators was only slightly less disgraceful. Their inane giggling at Judds actions really backs up the thoughts of the man in the street that this bloke is treated defferently to the rest by the media mugs.
  13. Chris Judd is such a selfish inividual I could easily believe his actions on this occasion were designed to get him rubbed out, Carlton (fully) derailed and Ratten sacked.
  14. LOL, as I would have thought. Looks like some codger they dragged in off Swan Street on his way to a Pub or Brothel. Denham is tune out time. Loves a soft target like Melbourne. I reckon one of ours must have p55ed on his shoe at the footy.
  15. Aaron has been limping since the NAB Cup. Heavy strapping on his knee all year. This and last year have been 2 of the worst by a senior footballer at this club I can remember. If it runs to trend next year surely he 'll be forced to pull the pin before the end of his contract.
  16. Some credit to Richmond for the pressure they applied but that is the worst game of footbal I have seen this year easily (from two sides). I'm a fan of the Neeld mantra but where is the defensive side that he was going to make a priority? Why is Magner played as a defesnive forward week in week out? Why did Neeld persist the whole game with Dunn back and Rivers forward? Why are players making fundamental skill errors after 15 rounds of footy?
  17. Ricky's game against Hawthorn was one of the worst individual displays I've seen this season and I say "indivdiual" deliberately because that was how he played. If he hasn't demonstrated consistency in his game and keeping in mind he has had injuries as well then so be it that he is not getting a game. He is a talented footballer and his agro would be welcome so hopefully he's back up soon.
  18. Even funnier than this "sleeping meds" story.....I just read about Martin living with their Pres Gary March who was keeping an eye on him because they've been worried about his behaviour. March is "unavailable for comment" because he is overseas! LMAO at Richmond. If you are going to have a minder for a player shouldn't they be in the same country to prevent this sort of thing happening?
  19. Spare me! Sleeping medication!!I What an absolute crock. With 500+ media covering AFL these days my challenge for any hounds out there is to find out what they really did/took. I expect this to be the first question asked and then what on top of that? WTH would Connors agree to walk from his AFL career based on taking a Stillnox or equivalent!
  20. My match summary....yuk! 4 things I learned but possibly already knew. (apologies to Burgs) 1. Jones is the heart and soul of our midfield 2. Magner is not a forward 3. Spencil is extremely limited (Dennis sumed it up best "tyrannosaurus rucks") 4. There are too many players on our list who are incapable of stepping up.....ever
  21. Oh, Fence.....you are like a dog with a bone. Now this may surprise you but Juice (like JW) has been playing behind the ball at Norwood as well as up forward. Second efforts & tackling pressure are first and foremost now and Juice didn't have enough of these for Bails to give him a game!
  22. Good stuff, now isn't that what a "club" is about?
  23. What I would like to know is why not a single person in the media has given Kreuzer as much shite as Jack Watts. Kreuzer has been a year longer in the system and delivered squat while media flogs continue to bang on about how good he will be. And thank God Warnock chose the brown baggers over us, spud!
  24. Just think he is mid 1st rounder. I agree he'll be great but don't believe he fits the bill for a 1 to 2 pick. Hardness and great running ability, which he has in spades would also be pre-requistites for the majority of recruiting prospects given the nature of footy at the moment but what is Jacks elite edge that usually comes at the draft position 1 or 2?
