Wasn't it a thyroid that virtually ruined the start of Troy Davis' first season after we drafted him? -

It's somewhat ironic that it's being reported that one of Vlad's private funds went belly up recently while Hird got his $1m payout. -

Did Jolly leave because of better opportunity elsewhere, the money, the fact that he liked the Sydney lifestyle better or some other reason? -
The end of the world is coming ...

There are rules and then there's honesty and the right way to conduct yourself. He was quite entitled to take the money and run but he was made a millionaire because the AFL gave him an easy run and we were/are a weak club and weren't able to or allowed to compete for his services. I don't wish liars well and I'm looking forward to our 2014 which will include one of our midfielders giving him an on field drubbing. -
The AFL is bound to provide an equitable distribution of funds to its constituent clubs but do you think clubs like Collingwood and West Coast aren't independent of the AFL? Does Eddie ever kowtow to Vlad?

As a long suffering Demon fan, I wish to lodge a protest over the Fox Footy summer programming which is nothing more than a rip off of its customers. Since the grand final in late September, they have been showing on rotation every game played during the 2013 season, mixed in with replays of that atrocity of a programme "After the Bounce" which surely ranks as one of the worst programmes ever shown on the a Fox Network? They also show some Open Mike programmes but how many times can we watch the same interviews with Sticks and Bucks? Why not replay games from other years and programmes like On the Couch, AFL360 and some of the other shows including their older stuff like Grumpy Old Men? There wouldn't be a Demon fan here who would watch us go around in most of our 2013 games. Enough is enough!!! [rant ends]

And I would add "pizzweak".I wonder if this phenomenon is contributing to our dearth of quality batters coming to the fore in the longer version of the game? Warner aside, very few are making the adjustment from having to score off every ball against some strange bowling and field placings compared to playing a responsible test match innings.

Rock bottom was 186 - that must be acknowledged and came before Neeld.Prendergast destroyed us by recruiting duds before Neeld. Show me a quote where Neeld blamed others than himself for all that happened under his watch.

Why should we have to cop anything? That's a sign of inferiority. We're past that, surely?
-
Perhaps they knew something even then when they decided to match him up with Cross?

I really don't like the comparisons between Toumpas and Wines. They are entirely different players and it made sense in taking Toumpas when the time arose at last year's draft. He was best available and was of a type we sorely lacked. Now that the Toump is recovered fully from his hip operations, we can expect big things from him and I look forward to a big year from him.

So no election this year which means democracy prevails. Does this mean we members are in control of the club or is the AFL?
-
My memory could be failing me but didn't the team head off in the same direction earlier this year after we were flogged by Port Adelaide and Essendon?
-
Will be training with the Tigers in the hope of getting a spot as a rookie.

Then caught at fine leg. Out for 209. Aussies will be chasing a big target.
-
Brought up the double ton with a 6 on the first ball of the last over. Followed that up with another 6.

What's Enrico Misso doing at the club? -
You need to take that back. It's not midnight yet?

Rohit Sharma closing in on a double century in Bangalore. Aussies chucking pies.

AFL site states as follows:- Trade WrapThe language of the trades is fascinating and unique. Michie has played one AFL game in three years and yet, the Dockers "appear resigned" to losing him. Makes the bloke sound like he's Garry Ablett Junior or something and he's going to cost us pick 2!

THE TRADING CHRONICLES 2013 - NOT MUCH ADO
Apocalypse XXXI replied to Demonland's topic in Melbourne Demons
I think that might be late this Friday. Either way, I suspect the ball will really start rolling when these are made known. I also doubt MFC will get a second rounder for Sylvia. His contract amount and term don't appear to be sufficient. -
The end of the Kennett Curse?

Carried out his duties at the club with class despite the extremely difficult circumstances although his record as a caretaker was probably not much better than the bloke he replaced. However, its hard to lay blame on him for that.
