  1. Too much sulking here. We drew. Way too emphasis on here and the AFL world on ladder positions. Every week there's people mentioning something like 'we'll lose to them because they're bottom of the ladder'. Assuming our player's are arrogant and not taking the task seriously. We'll it's a bit of a hypocritical way of thinking.

Every game is tough, and we're lucky to be the top of the ladder!

  2. I'm hoping to get to the match on the weekend to cheer our boys on after another great win.

I've supported Melbourne for over 30 years, and in that time we've never been in such a commanding position. I'm sick of reading  pessimistic posts. It's time for the red & blue army to get together! We haven't won the flag in half a century, it's time we all get behind our boys and give them the best backing we can!!

    We can win the granny!!!

There are two biological sexes defined from birth. That is correct. X and Y chromosomes determine that. Your gender as defined by sex is what is referred to as cisgender.

Gender is the identity one chooses to lead their lives in line with. The third option I mostly encounter these days (while still not as ubiquitous as the traditional binary since I live in a pretty homogeneous society) is non-binary. Meaning they refer to themselves as they/them/theirs and choosing to not live according to the traditional male/female roles.

You’ll also find a lot of other organizations increasing options available on gender when collecting information. I work at a biological research institute and our upcoming international symposia have four options for gender when entering personal details (male/female/non-binary/other). Most will go with the usual suspects, but just because the numbers are fewer doesn’t mean they don’t exist.

My dictionary (Oxford) defines gender as - Grammatical classification of objects roughly corresponding to the two sexes and sexlessness.

  4. Richmond: A real statement to the AFL world.

North: To come back and win, was a real club statement.

Sydney: Sydney are a physical team who have bested us in the past, it was another breakthrough moment beating them. But we only just had them. Underestimated.

    Bulldogs: Great win against quality.

Brisbane: Coming from behind to beat the strongest opponent there is, very impressive.

Hawthorn: They still had confidence at that moment, and I think we were without May, So a good win.

Those were the standouts for me.

May is kicking to the Langdon wing ie our attacking side.  Whether the ball is marked or it comes to ground we can set up to take the ball fwd.  How often do we see the end to end ball movement with overlap handballs involving Langdon with Salem or Hunt.  Gus on the other, defensive, wing is rarely seen in those overlap runs.

For mine, as long as that system works May can continue kick ins to the left.

Good points. Also, like Salem, his kicks are well measured. So the opposition knows what general area it's going to, but our players know it better.

  6. These two quotes combined - 'AFL fans question why Demons didn't run out in their Indigenous guernsey against Bulldogs' and 'with a number of posts suggesting the Demons had no reason not to wear their Indigenous guernsey' could be a total 4 people who had an issue with what happened.

If every player lived up to the standard set by D'land posters, the team would literally get 4,000 possessions in a game.

Maxy's been getting criticism on here when he lead us like a legend; and you use this line on my comment about Gus, who was good at best! Misdirected.

I understand the commentary around Brayshaw. I think he has been extremely poor the last few weeks and is lucky to hold his spot. Tonight he was much better but usually he is a liability on the wing due to his lack of leg speed. And his kicking skills have been way off. But credit where credit is due, he was efficient tonight.

    Well said.

There's just this lack of confidence with him of late when he's around, or handling the ball. Something seem up with him.
