  1. The club have been very proactive in recent years in signing / re signing players. We also have recent experience in players wanting to go home ie L.J.
Petty is contracted until the end of next season, I’m guessing we’ve already offered him a new contract which supersedes his current.
I think he’s definitely a keeper because of his ability and age. He can replace May in 1-2 years time. If we’re getting L.J vibes we need to move on someone else, can’t afford to get caught with our pants down.

  2. Would love nothing more than a fit Jake Melksham for the run into finals. He’s a class player, great defensively and has a bit of X factor about him.

I suspect Spargo has achilles tendinopathy. It’s a pain in the neck of an injury. I’ve battled through it for a decade, being a competitive runner. Generally it’s an ‘over 30s’ injury so he is very young to experience it. It can be season ending and career threatening.

Out of interest have you ever had plantar fasciitis?

    Thanks

a top 5 pick would be tempting if they threw in their seconder rounder as well.

Unless we were guaranteed of picking up a gun key fwd with that pick then it’s a no, Petty I think is only 24 currently.

We are still very much in our window this year and next. We’ve managed to find some great players in recent times with either later picks or rookie drafts. While May & Gawn are still out there we must go all out for another flag if not 2.

  5. So many close games.

    So many teams in form.

So many quality players wasting away in the reserves because every team is just chock full of talent.

It now makes sense to me why we need a 19th & 20th team.

It’s interesting though, whilst they play different roles and have different runs on the board, compare the Demonland responses to Fritsch and Billings.

Fritsch kicks his three and his first half is forgiven/ignored.

Billings misses his three and he’s been absolutely slammed on here.

Could Billings mark the ball like Fritsch did from the Oliver kick then turn and kick the goal?

Look at the goals with context.

Starting to wonder what WCE's rebuild plan is

2 years of compensation picks leading into Tasmania’s compensation picks.

Last night was so enjoyable then I start to think about the umpires, the MRO and the 19th and possible 20th team and wonder why those that have a voice sit in silence.

Please make training a very light one.

The Afl must be taking the Fizz.

Two away games against SA teams in a row.

Throw in a five day break.

    Tossers

I hope we crush the Crows.

Is this the first time a club has done this?

Deserves more if it gets up!

I had another one with those same games but Crows over Freo, was paying close to $500. Crows normally play well against Freo regardless of venue. I think they’re in trouble this year.

  10. Something no one on here would be aware of is this morning as I was getting dressed to do the grocery shopping with my wife, I dug out the “Give em Hell” t - shirt from the 2021 finals campaign. Had 2021 vibes this morning and tonight compounded that feeling.
