  1. I didn't hear it all, but nothing ground breaking. - Wants more members. - Certain people will be putting up a substantial amount of money, but didn't say how much or who. - Mentioned the desire to move into Casey. - Nothing about body hair unfortunately.
  2. http://www.abc.net.au/melbourne/
  3. I was going to write the exact same thing.
  4. What's with everyone suddenly giving up on the careers of so many Melbourne players? Recently I've heard that Grimes, Whelan, Moloney and Rivers may never play again. FFS people.
  5. Cheers. Although the bit about Neitz being messy was just irrelevant crap...
  6. If Moloney had more OP-related injuries, then I would understand people being extremely worried. But it's a shoulder injury that could happen to just about anyone.
  7. Less about football and more about body hair Rogue.
  8. Somewhere for their fans to sleep?
  9. Yze_Magic?
  10. It's their one moment when they take centre stage and actually get a cheer from the crowd.
  11. IMO Wheatley is played somewhat out of position. I'd love to see him on a wing (his legs are long enough for it) or even on a half forward flank.
  12. That is also my main problem.
  13. I don't think he is questioning that deanox. If a player has the ball, is tackled and as a result there is a ball up then the tackling player has already won out. The player with the ball has lost possession of the ball. If the player "incorrectly disposes of the ball" (or whatever the terminology is) then yes, the tackler should be rewarded with a free kick. The problem for me is that too often, the idea of "prior opportunity" gets misinterpreted by the umpire, whereby the only player who actually makes an effort to get the ball is penalised because they somehow can't get a kick or off handball off with seven players laying on top of them.
  14. Shut up... You'll give Adrian Anderson ideas.
  15. Wash your mouth out.
  16. Did Miller do anything yesterday?
  17. I didn't see the game, so I can't comment on his performance today. But, are you related to or somehow know Cameron Bruce?
  18. All good points. I think that people should try and look at this game Melbourne v West Coast, 2004 and look at who is playing on each team. Up until the end of last year, the team wasn't a lot different and it shows how well these players could once play against a top quality opposition.
  19. The problem is that his form never seems to translate over to AFL level. Jamar is the same becuase he is better suited to the VFL style of football.
  20. Nudge is back. Is it trade time already?
  21. Again, how the fudge do the AFL expect smaller clubs to grow and make money if the the big clubs always get the games that attract the biggest crowds? I'm hating the AFL more and more. It just seems that they are looking for short-term financial gain instead of long-term growth. The AFL themselves came out this year and stated that clubs with better facilities, finances etc are more likely to play finals. The AFL would also be away that according to the "Louis-Schmelling" paradox, games where the result is less predictable draw bigger crowds and TV audiences. Therefore, if the AFL continue to favour the rich and ignore the poor then the competition will become oven more lob-sided. As a result, in the long-term the health of the sport will suffer.
  22. Here's another idea. Again, hardly the most imaginative on my behalf. This is however, probably too close to the original design, but I do think that red and blue should be the only colours used.
  23. Here's just an idea from me. Personally, I like the idea of keeping things simple with jumpers.
