  1. "I believe we've got a great coach." - Jim Stynes. Goodbye Bailey...
  2. I thought it was great. I love it how Melbourne supporters are so easily offended by jokes and stereotypes.
  3. I hope there is a really good reason for this and that we are told what it is.
  4. That's right. Thank god we got Ben.
  5. At least he was moving the ball forward (stupidly or not). Long, direct and fast football has is and always will be the best way of playing the game - Watch Geelong play and how they move the ball. Yes, some kicks were to the wrong spot, but I would rather see him turn the ball over whilst trying to play a better style of football than that of going in-direct and unnecessarily sideways and backwards which is what Melbourne continually did from the second quarter onwards.
  6. I was far more upset with players losing possession through over-use of the ball, mainly sideways and backwards which occurred far more often than what you're talking about.
  7. 6. Miller 5. Chris Johnson 4. Valenti 3. Whelan 2. Buckley 1. Davey
  8. My god you hate Bate. Beaten up by a red head when you were younger?
  9. He wasn't great, but again he lacked many chances in the forward line. My biggest concern is his inability to hold crucial marks.
  10. The Freo jumper is god awful. They could however make it look rather good if they removed the green and red and used a purple jumper with a white anchor as their main strip and a white jumper with a purple anchor.
  11. Will Melbourne be wearing that silver thing tomorrow seeing as it is Freo's home game?
  12. Which pretty much much kills the theory that Jamar is a better ruckman than PJ.
  13. When he actually decides to kick...
  14. Agreed on all fronts. Now off to the doctor!
  15. For me, Jones continually looked rushed yesterday whereas Valenti (despite getting caught a couple of times) looked more controlled. Jones had around 60% disposal efficiency which is far too low.
  16. Nicholas Naitanui shows clubs he's a true thoroughbread "It would be good to stay home," Naitanui said. "I will probably get homesick if I go somewhere else. "But, then again, I don't mind where I go because to get the opportunity to play at an AFL club is my main dream." The fact that being homesick was even brought up makes me a little concerned.
  17. Without doubt, Jones is a better player with Moloney, McDonald and McLean around him. I guess I just really like the look of Valenti.
  18. That spear tackle was brilliant.
  19. What happened to Morton's great skills from the start of the year?
  20. Bartram - Tried, but lacks polish sometimes Bate - No consistency Bell - Needs confidence Bruce - Please learn to handpass Buckley - Enjoyed his run Dunn - Another scalp Garland - Continues to shine Green - Lead by example Jamar - Taps to opponents C. Johnson - Looks more composed P. Johnson - Not best effort Jones- Stint at Sandy Martin - Excited by this prospect Miller - Continues to improve Morton - What happened to his silky skills? Newton - Limited options Sylvia - Does he care? Warnock - Was rarely noticed Wheatley - Wasted opportunities Whelan - Provided stability Valenti - Took a massive step forward Wonaeamirri - Needed to be closer to goal
  21. I love Jones, and by saying that Valenti will be better isn't necessarily saying that Jones will be bad. I just have really high hopes for Valenti. They may be proven entirely wrong. I do think that Garland will also be very good and they are fairly similar, but Marin has better size and looks a more solid in terms of how he plays. Again, nothing against Garland or Warnock but I'm most excited by the prospect of Martin (form the very little we've seen of them).
