Selwood is a star and very tough, but he (and his Geelong teammates) are repeat duckers.

I never rated Morton at Melbourne but I think he will go pretty well.
-
I can't believe people don't understand the argument for trading him. We have a surplus of tall forwards, tall forwards are in demand. We need midfielders, we could trade him for a midfielder.
-
Gutted he didn't make 100, but still an amazing effort. The way he handled himself was brilliant.

WELCOME TO DEMONLAND - PAUL ROOS
Straight Sets Simon replied to timmyo64's topic in Melbourne Demons
As in not win a game? -
Because we have lots of tall forwards but very few midfielders.
-
Yes, but we can probably get more for Fitzpatrick.
-
I hope he continues to improve for the rest of the year, as to increase his trade value. As mentioned in another thread, there are a number of teams who need tall forwards. That is something we have a lot of and whilst he shows good potential, I prefer Hogan, Clark and Dawes as our three main options.
-
It's an interesting point. Whilst I don't think the club should trade Dawes specifically, I do think the value of having so many players of one type is you can afford to trade them and there are a number of teams that need key forwards. In the case of Dawes he provides leadership and experience, two qualities we desperately need.

Fair to say the answer is definitely "yes" now!

Having only seen bits and pieces of the game, I find joeboy's analysis very handy as he is usually on the mark. -
Move Sylvia on while he has currency

This is up there with the "Why isn't Nick Sautner getting a game for Melbourne?" thread from a number of years ago. -
He's a [censored] but I'd take him in a heartbeat.

As has been mentioned here many times, Watts and Gibbs are very similar number one picks.

These kids should be honoured to play for any AFL, it sickens me the media scum even ask the question.

The difference is Mitchell is explosive over a couple of metres and with his hands.

Love to hear someone ask him if he is injured.

His kicking action is far better than earlier in the year, very exciting. -

I have no doubt this thread kicked off all the media speculation yesterday.

Better chance of trading in midfield stars
Straight Sets Simon replied to Hellish Inferno's topic in Melbourne Demons
The problem is he is not getting any quicker. -
I can't post a link because I'm on an iPhone but the Herald Scum is reporting that Roos has "laughed off" the betting plunge.

It's probably just a ploy to increase ratings of On The Couch tonight.
