  1. Each club will have brand guidelines, my point is as long as the product adheres to those guidelines they don't need to be involved in the approval of every single product, the AFL do it on their behalf.
  2. With licensing, the club will get certain items made through (in our case New Balance) such as jumpers and some polo shirts. Most items are made for all clubs by other companies who have a license to make the product for all eighteen clubs who get a royalty from sales. The clubs will get some say in what the products look like but most of the time it will be controlled centrally by the AFL who approve designs for all teams. To me, this jumper looks like something that has been licensed through the AFL.
  3. I remember reading an article a couple of years ago where Grimes' Melbourne teammates were making fun of him for how diligent he was in his recovery from an injury. It made my blood boil that he was made fun of for doing what should be standard. Good to hear more stories of player-driven change.
  4. Good news, but I'm getting flashbacks from when Trengove extended his contract and Scully didn't.
  5. Once in almost ten years.
  6. I think all players should take up surfing, paddling around in the cold waters of Victoria can only be good for the body and muscles.
  7. I laughed at this, then cried.
  8. Or he is just unlucky.
  9. With our recent run of foot injuries no risks at all should be taken.
  10. The fit of the jumpers the other night was horrendous.
  11. That's in part up to him.
  12. Like Neeld he is probably a terrific assistant coach (happy he is at Melbourne in this role) but as a senior coach he never really stood out to me and I wasn't surprised when he left the Bulldogs.
  13. I think it's poor that the club promoted the training session to be at a certain time but then couldn't even stick to the revised time.
  14. The AFL never ceases to amaze.
  15. Barlow was also good mates with Angus Graham who told Richmond about Barlow but they overlooked him as well. I like your story though, the key part is to not judge a player solely by how he trains.
  16. He's different, I think vandenBerg has class as well as grunt.
  17. From just half a meaningless game I'm convinced that this guy can really play. He seems to just play in a no nonsense simple what which I really like.
  18. He looks to have far less muscle now than he did three or four years ago.

  20. Deserves four weeks, dog act.
  21. You really need to get your priorities sorted. This is our grand final.
  22. Doubt it, it's been that way for a long time.
