Poor planning, or was the chauffer ill?

The great thing about Range Rovers, is that the headrest TV monitors are perfect for watching a footy replay while travelling to the slopes Much better than straining your eyes while watching a 5" Agora smartphone in the VN Commodores that the toothless filth drive on their way to Centrelink.

I'm especially looking forward to the other team not getting on top. -

I will take your word on that. Don't want to hijack the MCC thread, but does anyone have info on whether Oliver will play on ball, or will he play across half forward this week? -

faultydet replied to Freddy Fuschia's topic in Melbourne Demons
Ahhh, ok. Thanks for that. I'm in the group that will fork out that amount for Trident or whatever membership once we look like regular finalists, but I certainly wouldn't do it now, considering the extra memberships I buy for family each year. (I'm not on speaking terms with 2 of them). Oh, by the way, Clayton Oliver looks like he might be a good player for us. -

I don't, I'm presuming Stak. Can you advise how much an MCC membership is please? -

Didn't realise until later that this was your first post. Good start mate. Most people start with a apologetic post. I'm wondering if you are an old poster from another site, or are an old poster, posting here under a new name? Btw, agree with what you said, and didn't even think about it, until I read your post. -

You know SWYL, having shared a few beers with you during the broadcast of a game, and sampled your fiery (passionate) disposition when the Dees play, I never pegged you as a MCC member. Never judge a book hey.... -

In fairness Stakk, I would think that you are preaching to the converted here. The die hard Dee. If all of us had the coin, we would be slobbering our beers all over you in the MCC members also. Im not so sure you can make it a simple debate of "I pay more for my membership, therefore I'm the better and more knowledgeable member". I'm not in the camp that thinks the MCC members are pretend members, but spare a thought for those of us who cant afford the same cash that you can please. We care just the same, even if we drink a goon sack, while you sip MOET. -

Barn, I normally read what you say with interest, but I must disagree with this statement. Going into a contest, even a pre season contest, with a weak, self preservation attitude, will end in tears. If you hit a contest softly, you will get smashed. Port has played a game already, meaning their players have had a chance to get acclimatised against real opposition. If our blokes go in trying to protect themselves, we will likely end up getting a hiding on the scoreboard, and gaining a few injuries also. By all means, don't expose underdone players, but the team taking the field must have an attitude of wanting to win the contest, regardless of its standing. -
Yep, the afl community will win this fight, and its really no competition. The drug cheats will get an early pick in this years draft, and I'm betting they will see a priority pick, and extra afl funding in the next few years. The banned drug cheating players will be feted like a returning MacArthur, and treated like the victims that the sycophants have portrayed them as through the entire drug cheating saga. essedon will be back in the top 8, faster than you can say "i took illegal, performance enhancing drugs, and was caught and exposed as a cheat by WADA", and that sickening dweeb gil, and his fawning lackys, will be smirking all the way to the bank. Make no mistake, this is nothing more than corporate greed and selfishness, winning over fairness, and what is right.
-
Good call. I knew there was a top level cover-up underway as soon as the ASADA charges were laid, but i'm absolutely staggered, that NOBODY of high profile, has attacked the drug cheating scum, and called them for what what they are. To a man(woman), everyone has backed them, and called for insane outcomes, such as leaving WADA/Chasing ASADA/Accusing everyone EXCEPT the bloke who instigated the program. This country has lost 100% of its anti-drug standing. We used to be the recognised world leader in the fight against drugs, but the essendrug cheating affair has exposed us for what we really are. Soapbox preaching, better than you, grandstanding, world champion hypocrites, of zero integrity. F*&k dill, and his afl sycophants, you all make me want to spew.

Not sure about any angst towards the MCC. What's wrong with good dental health, and a decent fashion sense? -

GWS made the mistake of recruiting players from the same junior club, or the same state, as a way of attempting to alleviate the "go home" factor. They should have backed themselves, and taken best available. Having said that, imagine their midfield with Adams and Treloar back in the squad. we would be touching ourselves like crazy if our midfield had as much talent. They really should have a cracker side this season. -
We got it right with Toumpas, after the disaster of drafting him over Wines, and gave him away to another club. He doesn't have "it", and I'm confident that he never will. Rabbit in headlights.......
-
You would sign him to an extra year now? Really? I wouldn't do that, even if he came for free. I would expect that our list would be managed differently now. You give extra years to older, injury prone players, if they bring something very good to the team on the rare times they make it onto the field. Dawes doesn't bring much at all, and if we are making allowances for how hard he trains, as some others have suggested, then our list management team should be looked at. We have made large inroads into the character side of things in recent years, we don't need to carry anyone like Dawes any more. If he cant get the body right, delist, and give someone else a chance. Good luck Chris, I think you will need it.

Cringeworthy. Every sycophantic, delusional word of it. Francis is the sort of bloke that sensible, intelligent people are embarrassed by, and avoid at all costs in a group situation. Just a nutjob of the highest order. The fact that many of the simpletons out Essendon way celebrate his every word, like he is some sort of all-knowing deity, is evidence enough that essedon attracts some of the lowest forms of humanity as its supporters. The class idiot, jumping up and down, arms flailing, shouting "look at me everyone, look at me"!!!

Saturday Talking Point: Gillon McLachlan has lost the plot

Footy is back in 3 weeks. Until then.............. -
Its been the same all along felix. If you think of something good, and say it loud enough, often enough, then it just might become the truth. And we all know thats what jimmy turd has been wanting all along. The year of the truth.
-
Same. I wish them all the pain in the world. I wish their drug cheating club would fold, and fade into history, but we can clearly see that the afl has plans for them to return to the top asap. You know, big crowds are good for business and all that. Dill gets a nice bonus when crowds are up. Every single essedon supporter I have ever met, turns into an arrogant pig as soon as footy is mentioned. Even seemingly nice folk. Its in their blood, like a virus.
-
Thanks Dr, much appreciated. About bloody time someone in the media told it like it really is. My head spins at the amount of propaganda, and downright lies coming out of the mouths of afl media, and the drug cheats camp. They must think everyone is so stupid. Wait, actually, I think they are on to something there. Most people are just that.

I wish that when someone posted a link to the Sun, that they also posted the best bits here, as some of us will never pay to read that cheating scum biased rag.
