  1. Rubbish, he really was ordinary, to those saying he kept his 'direct' opponent quite, BS! We play a zone, hardly any direct opponents matched up 1on1 all game & Oscar did get beaten several times by smaller blokes. He did get better in junk time in the 4th, but it says more about the state of our key backs that he is getting a game than anything else. We are shaky back there this year, and need to improve that group and get better at the zone. His brother wasn't much better today either......... Our opponents really were that bad today. We can play a lot better than we did despite the margin, heaps of room for improvement as Roos & the players said after the game. And whoever said earlier we are not challenging for finals needs to check the ladder and what our ceo said about this year. We are challenging for the 8 and our backline is still very much a work in progress that is the biggest weakness we have atm. I really like hunt, wagner, salem, t.mac etc at times but jetta is our only consistent performer week in/out at this stage. Its partly the new system, partly inexperience but I hope they work it out ASAP. Oscar is out of his depth/undersized, dunn out of favor/form, frost still unco, t.mac still working out the system & his role, garland too undersized to be a genuine kbp/not damaging enough. We have issues back there & I agree with picket, oscar looks both slow, weak & is a big work in progress atm. I hope he does make it, we desperately need him too right now!!! But at this stage he looks a year away minimum still.
  2. No actually, they don't, otherwise they wouldn't be classified as such. Some know how to fake empathy though....
  3. Can't wait for them to get a home final.... should set the record for smallest final attendance ever! Lol
  4. Eddie needs this to take the focus off Bucks & their pathetic mens team.
  5. I went to the game & have always hated that venue, I go every year at least a few times & every time I swear it'll be my last. Away games is one thing but home games should never happen there!!!! I am a paid melbourne member with a reserved seat at the G, same seats we have had continuously for 21 years & at a home game for my club we could hardly find a seat I was happy with. We did ok in the end but there were no where near enough bays opened up on level 1 for melbourne members, no where near enough staff working ticket booths & gates to get the crowd in on time, as many supporters we know missed half the first qtr getting in. I just sat down in time for the first bounce after getting there 45 minutes early & finding a reasonable spot on level 1. There was no way we were going up to the nose bleed section after our whole family have paidfor top tier memberships, we pay that sort of $$ so we can sit where we like. I don't mind level 2 but thats not an option at shitihad. Further, I'm barely 6 foot average build, none of our party are fat & the seating felt squashed in compared to the G. Did I mention I [censored] hate this ground?!? Win or lose, I really hate it. There's something so [censored] about it, which is probably why the AFL are keen to tear it down now & looking for the state government to bail them out. [censored] heads!!!!!
  6. Thnx for that. Wish they had've played some excerpts from the biffo though!
  7. Just when I thought I couldn't love this man anymore than I already did, he makes me love him that much more!!! I'm getting a jack viney tattoo now for sure, I just wish I had some daughters for him to marry....
  8. Whatever talent Molloy had is looooong gone, at least 10 years ago, probably 20. He should be on centrelink by now, begging on the streets for beer $$..... he's just lucky a few footy types with less brain cells than usual have thrown him a lifeline.
  9. Thnx for the read Stuie & the heads up Picket, some of Slobos best work for sure. Tear the tiges up jack, with rance to hoges & astbury to pedo/frost...... Who goes to watts? They'll probably think they can get away with a smaller opponent on him tonight. Could be another big game for killer!!
  10. H will slaughter Howe if they go that way.
  11. Its not a conspiracy 'theory' if its true..... imo anyway. Sorry, just hate that term
  12. Which taller defender would you have played on daniher instead? I thought Tom's lack of awareness & poor disposal especially early in the game gave them confidence & was a clear sign he arrived at the game expecting a walk in the park........
  13. Yesterday was a disgrace. Whether essendon are better than people thought is irrelevant, half our boys didn't show up. People calling for us to re-sign blokes like Watts, Tyson & McDonald ahead of chasing Prestia & Hurley have no idea. They would've had a dip at least!! As for the AFL, I agree, sick of the bs! And as long as you have a rules committee the rules will keep changing, as much to justify their existence as for any real need to 'fix' the game. Too many people making careers off the AFL & adding nothing positive to the game. Media saturation, lies, scandals, sweeping facts under the carpet, loyalty both to players & clubs out the window. All so the game can be a faster spectacle, and churn more money out of suckers like us!!! I could have had an incredible holiday house given the $$ we've given this club & this sport the last 15 years alone!!! Stuff this, I'm going to the shooting range to 'meditate'
  14. Out: Kent, easily our worst against Dons, and thats saying something. Doesn't work hard enough at the moment. Harmes, 2nd week of doing next to nothing. He's a goer but ordinary decision maker who kills momentum when things don't go well for him. Given Roosy's tired comments, I know they'll freshen up a couple of boys through the week (i.e. Viney, Gawn etc.). But we also had too many blokes who couldn't EFFECTIVELY run out more 50/60% game given limited interchanges (Brayshaw, Oliver, Kent, Harmes) and this left too much for others to cover IMO. Brayshaw was brought back too soon, but is he better for the run? Does Clarry get saved a trip to Tassie & a spanking by North to play a full game at VFL to work on endurance? This is where the 3rd out comes from I would guess. In saying that, I thought Lumumba was terrible with ball use, but Roos thought they got him right, so he's going nowhere, whilst people calling for Garland, M. Jones or Bugg to be dropped are kidding themselves. In: ANB, in form at VFL, always works his backside off, can run out a game. Stretch, better pace, desperation & ball use than Kent, Harmes & several others who have been getting gigs ahead of him so far this year. Can also run out a game. Should've already been in the team imo. Dunn, a tall defender who can actually win a one on one contest!!! Sure he's not super tall but he knows how to use his body unlike both McDonalds & North have several big boys. But as several others have noted, biggest changes need to be between the ears!!! McDonald, Hogan & Watts to name a few.......
  15. We had soo many players undeserving of afl games the last 10 years prior to this year it's not funny. Arguing semantics about being 'gifted' games is ridiculous. We now have an afl list. 30 players turned over since Roos arrived and only now in year 3 do we have some depth. Those are the facts.
  16. Link is up on the MFC website for those who missed it.
  17. Bernie vince on game day & nate jones on sunday footy not enough for some people? More coverage than most weeks for us I would've thought. Now clarry gets the rising star there's bound to be more during the week too! Lol
  18. Pies have a week of media drug talk too! Life is good right now.....
  19. Oli's game was most influential of all the debutants from what I saw... Really well deserved Clarry, keep it up, hope you get your engine bigger asap & knock cripps off his clearance king title!!!! Imagine what he'll do when he's built like a voss!!! I'm excited!! And to think a few months ago I thought it'd be tracca I was this excited about!
  20. On one hand I'd love to see all of them get a run at some point to see what they can do on the big stage but on the other if this eventuates its most likely we've had a shocking run with injuries..... I reckon/hope Tracca & Trenners force their way into the team soon, reckon Weeds could by the end of the year. Those 3 are class players. The rest are a little green for mine, but if they force their way in & its not because of injury I'll be stoked!!
  21. I thought his loopy handballing needed some work too after today, couple of times his up and under handballs made the reciever wait for it which put them under pressure once they got it, although he wasn't alone on that front. Still young and will get better no doubt.
  22. Ha!!! It should be a reversal of that scoreline this time around
  23. Who the [censored] is mark mcclure?!? Where do they finds these imbeciles to fill media roles... I'd rather read dumb [censored] on demonland then what these idiots have to say, at least we're all mfc here.
  24. Best for all 4 quarters: 6 - Viney 5 - Watts 4 - Kennedy 3 - Gawn 2 - N. Jones 1 -T. McDonald Unlucky: Salem Oliver was very good, kicking was a little off today & did nothing in the 3rd but great debut and can he teach the rest if the team how to handball low flat direct please!!! Hogan played one quarter very very well.... and the Garlett move to Scully on the wing to start the 4th had a big impact. Tyson, VDB (despite his 2 goals), Harmes, Kent & Vince were all a little too fumbly for mine, but means there is still plenty of upside in todays team and all of them did really good things at times. Frost up forward still not working for mine, all this talk about his pressure, he had no tackles, looked lost & gave away 2 frees when he did finally wrap someone up... sloppy. The other lesser lights seemed ok, but looking forward to Dunn, Brayshaw, Petracca, H & Stretch forcing their way into this side!!!
