Yeah unfortunately not. I'll keep praying to the football god PJ to make it happen
-
YES please. I've salivating at the thought of Sloane, Jones and Viney in the square.
-
I would love a swap Boyd for Pearse Hanley....win win for both teams, but won't happen.
-
Yeah, I think the fact that it has been such a dark and disappointing past few years adds to the energy and excitement levels of his appointment. I'm still pinching myself that our club has been able to appoint a coach of his calibre without stuffing it up beforehand. Well done PJ and Bartlett, great work.

Argh, it keeps popping up not available - devistated.

Just to make your day even better, this is a great laugh...

My boss just got back from the MCC breakfast this morning. Ox was one of the speakers and he reiterated that it'll be announced today. Start the weekend early peeps, it's party time!!!!
-
WTF??? That's not even remotely funny!!!
-
I appreciate that it's not the conservative way, however how would you propose they can either toughen him up and/or remove his fear of getting hurt?
-
If we get a PP can you imagine the bit%hen and moaning the other clubs are going to make - When you consider how NM is already sooking that by AFL financial support we're paying for Roos. Suck s\%t Roos, we got Roos (I hope)....
-
I agree, but you can remove the fear of getting hurt. IMO to achieve this he has to get hit hard regularly so that he realizes it's not as bad as what he fears. It's the only way he'll develop any further.
-
Sorry and thirdly and most importantly: That he'll learn that you have to stand up and take the hits sometimes, you can't rely and hide behind your mates all the time.
-
If I were the new coach and watts stayed my first job would to toughen him up. For one day every week I'd put him in the ring with Clarkey and tell him to punch the crap out of him. One, it'll teach him to box and he'll learn how to block pretty quick. And secondly, it'll make him realize that s%#t I'm taking a hammering but I've survived.
-
Anyone else notice Roos' body language towards Richard Colless (guest speaker)? IMO it was a look of utter dislike.
-
Omg, omg, we are soooo going to get To 200 pages on this thread
-
I agree. I think it'll be a slow grind back up the ladder. I say this due to the fact that really, what team is getting worse: Bulldogs were, but their second half of the season was impressive. Saints possibly, now that some of the older players are gone. GWS are going to get better with experience. WC should have been better. Crows same as WC, missing Tippett but the big tex was out for most of the year. North, should have been a lot better.

Joel Macdonald - Retirement Announced
Wormburner replied to low flying Robbo's topic in Melbourne Demons
Saw Joel Mac down the run today with the boys as flash came off. I was lucky to give him a high five and say thanks. I know it's not much when you compare how flash was sent off, but I hoped it made him feel better. I always rated his hardness at the ball. -
Agree, they were awesome today!

You know what pisses me off... Why they don't serve full strength beer in the twilight games, surely they could make a exception for dees supporters....
-
Just passed Maloney at the game. As much as people mock him, I'd love to have another experienced mid out there.
-
I won't ever forget these past 7 years... They'll haunt me forever!
-
I don't think anyone has mentioned him, but everything I hear about Rawlings is extremely positive. Supposedly very hands on and the players always speak well of him. For me, I hope he stays.

As the great Bob Hawke once said "Any boss that makes their melb supporter employee come to work next week, is a bum"!!!

I just text my boss who's a mad lions supporter and in the most political way, gave him soooo much sh#t!!!
