  1. I reckon Blues did well out of that deal.
  2. I don't want to be smashed like round 1 last year - It was shattering!
  3. IMO when you compare the Dal Santo and Buddy compensation picks, that Sylvia is not worth pick 23. I have a conspiracy theory which is as follows: We were always going to let Sylvia slip and PJ let his good mate AD know about it. The AFL had to say no to the priority pick to satisfy other clubs. But AD told PJ don't worry, we'll bump up compo for ya buddy!!
  4. It's sad to say, but after his performances over the past two seasons, we'd probably have to pay someone to take him.
  5. Great job Dees, very happy with their efforts! Bring on this season, can't wait!!
  6. A mate at work reckons there's a rumour going around that we're interested in Myers for pick 9 - mind you, he is an Essendrug supporter.
  7. Is it today clubs find out what compo picks they receive?
  8. I just went onto the freo forum site also, it [censored] me off when I read posts on there (to quote): - I'd bet $54 that he'll win their b&f next year; - I'd bet $50 that they'll be on the bottom next year; and - He'd play well in a crap team like dees. I know we've sucked over the past few years, but geez I hope one day we can hold our own and stick it up these blokes - f#>king pisses me off!!!!
  9. To answer the thread question and quite simply - not unless we pay for it.
  10. I haven't heard anything re Alan Richardson, could he be the one?
  11. Haha, nice analogy! Can we just fast forward to that week? My wife always says I'm inpatient
  12. I'm wrapped we're not rushing into anything, but I fear this is going to be longest 3 weeks ever....
  13. I think you are right, Dew is our man. IMO they're biding their time and not discussing Dew with the Swans any further, especially during trade period as it may somehow affect our trades, possibly even trades with other clubs (3 way trades etc). Then after it's finished....BANG!
  14. Funny you say that, I heard the interview also and thought the manager sounded sheepish when answering the question, he certainly didn't answer it with conviction.
  15. Funny you say that as my friend who said Patton to the Dogs for pick 4 is now saying he had it wrong - supposed to be Patton to Saints in return for montagna and fisher. This time of year no one seems to know, including myself!
  16. On the Bulldogs and GWS front, I've heard straight swap of Patton for Pick 4. It's just a rumour at this point from a mate ( not sure how reliable).
  17. Yeah, they were never going to match the length of the contract (would be silly to). I thought the point interesting though, because surely this could and should be applied to other players Swans are chasing. The AFL has to scrap it, it is just absurd.
  18. A caller on SEN today made a valid point (apologies if anyone's mentioned it previously): Hawks should only have to match the Swans offer less living away from home allowance (1.1m - 10%) because if he didn't go up there it wouldn't be required.
  19. Good luck Col, thanks for your efforts. Can't knock him for having the kahoonas to pack up and move interstate to chase finals hopes. Just wish we had a proper coach the past 5-6 years to see if he could've got more out of him.
  20. I loved Dew as a player from the moment I saw his first kick in AFL. I'll never forget that booming left foot kick of his!
  21. Haha, I think your too kind to the club D26... It hurts me to say this, but I think it would be more to do with the fact that we stink compared to the other 6 or so other teams chasing him.
  22. I was thinking exactly the same thing.... I'm getting extremelly nervous I have to admit. I just keep telling myself "have faith in Roos!"
  23. Gunstan from Hawks is also another - very little of him, but the kid kicked a/se on Saturday! Still, I can understand why people are against it after Morton.
  24. I believe Henderson from Brisbane to Carlton was part of it. The only reason why I remember is I give my boss (mad lions supporter) crap over it everytime Henderson plays well.
  25. I agree. Listening to Robbo is like you're stuck at the bar listening to a drucken bum ramble on and slurring his words. However, still can't stand Caro and her bias opinions.
