Shoddy Cheap Journalism...as usual....
TRIGON replied to Sir Why You Little's topic in Melbourne Demons
Mostly true Red...but how does that explain writing about Essendon and Carlton? -
Not unlike Extras in cricket.

I've leaned towards Parish because: He's got that speed of thought and action that's especially important at AFL level where time and space become more limited He's consistently proved that he can do it against the best competition that could be mustered in his age levels.

Nup, if it was the Russians something would've leaked by now (no pun intended). My bet's North Korea.

Looking back on some of the daft things I did as a kid I've got no right to call Charlie a DH. I'm just groaning at the timing of it.

Just had a 'chicken little' moment...is he Colin Sylvia 2.0?

Charlie, Chuck, Chas what were you thinking?

That type of behaviour's not even safe in a vault! -
Few more sleeps yet for Russiandon.

Some Banjo playing was added fairly recently, no need to rock the boat any further.

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - BEN KENNEDY

In my books Michie has been an 'OK' recruit and good value at pick 54. Played 11 games this year and his match-day performance seemed to be building. Maybe his being delisted to be rookied is more a function of some 'generous' terms of contract duration given to a couple of other players whom I suspect will roll-off our list at the end of the year. -
Excellent cartographic response there Biff. And thanks Tas for your great training reports.

The latest list of potential people soon getting into the Essendon Football Club? Pick 4: Maurice Pick 5: Blackburn Pick 24: Slater Pick 25: Gordon

On a more serious note what I like about Parish is that he seems to have the speed of thought and awareness that will make teammates around him flourish.
-
Aye, but he's not drawing a long bow.
-
Damn right!
-
Very sloppy. "Wouldn't say the relationship was best of bread". WTF?

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - CLAYTON OLIVER

At which point Liz Hurley may take him as well. -
Looking at our current mix of mids I think Parish would complement them well.
-
Looking at a recent AFL website article the name Tom Doedee popped out. Took a closer look, noticed he's skinny, got injured and is a teammate of Parish's. In days of yore he'd be a lock.

Aye, however Stringer is a big fella, strong overhead mark etc. Jimmy's a wee man and so pace is all the more critical to him.
-
Wish Jimmy all the best. Comes across as a kid with a good heart. At the time most draft pundits touted him as a top 3 pick....shows the dangers of group-think. The lesson, particluarly with players of a smallish build, is to beware the impact that crook hips has on core strength and therefore pace. At least we've got a top 10 talent back in Melksham. Look forward to seeing him debut in the red and blue...WADA dependent on which season that will be?
-
Bring it back - it was very apt. Picket - that's an early lunch?

He'll be our pest and play with a lot of soul.
