Even better if Trengove proves himself as a champion at AFL level (as he has consistently done this year at VFL level)!
-
News on the radio today is that Salem might join a returning Watts, Tyson and Viney, with all four facing fitness tests. If so, it enhances our chances of fielding a half-decent line-up! ?
-
150 per week for the next fortnight! Surely that is achievable somehow to reach 42,000 (especially with four more games at the "G")!
-
Why would he possibly welcome Lethlean back on $900,000 a year (his reputed package)? If the AFL advertised the position at 1/3 that, there would be guys (and gals) beating the doors down. The AFL could easily save 600K a year and maybe even end up with a superior candidate. It could then repeat the exercise with Simkiss's position and possibly review all packages (included his own) and return the savings to the eighteen Clubs.

41,695 and closing!

6. Hunt 5. Oliver 4. Lewis 3. Melksham 2. Petracca 1. ANB

41,619 (edging higher)! ?

6. T. Mac 5. Oliver 4. Jetta 3. Frost 2. Hibberd 1. Petracca

I've amended to recognise Salem but still feel that the prophets of doom are being overly negative. Provided that Goody can get us into the finals, there is no reason that we won't have a decent list at our disposal!
-
I don't subscribe to the excuses of our injuries. Frankly, with Hogan and Garlett back (and Watts returning next week), and Joel returning to the backline, our injuries only apply to the midfield (where we have Gawn back)! We are not as injury-riddled as some apologists make out and the temporary loss of our co-captains, Salem and Tyson will be managed innovatively as we did with Gawn. All players know what is on the line with fourth position beckoning (provided The Eagles beat Port) and I am sure that Lewis and Vince will step into the breach to forge our destiny! Dees to beat the Blues.

The Age tipsters favoured Carlton, the Hun, Melbourne. ?

41,519 (and closing on 42K)

And why wouldn't Watts play??
-
Frankly, I feel that the Club should delist him to free up a spot and salary space, yet I would not be adverse if the MFClub: 1) retained his services in a coaching, mentoring, promotion role; and 2) let him continue to play for the VFL Casey Demons and possibly become part of their leadership group. By doing the above, he is able to continue to play a role in the MFC which he obviously loves and it may be pathway to a transitioned career. He seems to be an important player in the Casey Demons success this year and he would remain a Demon and make a real difference in bolstering the Casey list/midfield. Hopefully he can even taste Premiership success as a (Demon)!

They they have had over ninety extra disposals! WTF!
-
With seventy extra disposals, it is hard to see what Goody can conjure up in the final quarter? ?
-
It should be considering that they have had the last eleven scores.
-
With four times the number of scoring events (4.0-2.12) it's pretty hard to argue with that! ?
-
I am following the AFL website from Athens. Lucky we are more accurate than them inside forward fifty. Must be frustrating watching it from the "G" (especially if you are a Swans supporter)! ?
-
Neither link is friendly but I got through by posting in the headline. Very impressive article and well worth the perserverence. The way Melbourne is resourcing it's FD, Jason Taylor is recruiting, Peter Jackson is overseeing the Administration, Goody and his team are coaching and the way the players are responding with belief, I have no doubt that we are on the cusp of an extended Golden Era in the Club's history! Go Dees!
-
All three emergencies play for Casey against Port Melbourne the following day (and we will be the better for it)!
-
Wow! Just as Saty predicted! ?
-
41,325!
-
Except for the fact that they (AFL?) seemed to have changed the tune for the Club song! It certainly wasn't the same tune sung by the team in the rooms afterward (or supporters at the G)!

2017 AFL National Draft prospects: The next batch
CBDees replied to Whispering_Jack's topic in Melbourne Demons
Considering we will have pick 18, what trade do you envisage to get a pick around 12-14? ?
