I fully agree with you! The reality is that nobody is suggesting a genuine MfC Super-Hero! Ox I don't consider has what it takes to run any organisation (otherwise he would of already done it), Biffen's suggestion of Julian Knight I take even less seriously and Eddie McGuire would have trouble transfusing his black and white blood for red and blue. Personally, I think anyone who is so willing to run down Kennett should at least put up their alternative with succinct reasons!

I am missing you here! Surely if they play VFL finals they would be ready to start pre-season at start of October with the rest of the Melbourne FC squad! Admittedly they don't have September off like the rest of their AFL teammates but if you gave them a choice of a month off or winning a Premiership then I am confident that the players who are serious would choose the latter!

I cannot believe that you guys are all arguing about Jeff's performance as a premier. Although I am one of those that consider he did a good job as Premier, it was over a decade ago. What about his more recent role as head of Beyond Blue? Nobody is criticising his commitment to that and what he achieved! I say bring him on!

Ox does not speak for the majority. He is as helpful to our plight as G Lyon who is more concerned with his status as a host, journalist and celebrity tipper than he is supporting our young players (or coaching staff who he was part responsible for selecting).

Actually HFF if you read the posts above yours you will see that nobody has suggested that DS does not love the MFC, merely that he modus operandi of demonstrating his love is as effectual as that of G Lyon or Gerard Healey. We can do without it!

Davey has been and still is a great servant of the Club. His freakish goals from the pocket are always a joy to watch especially in 2013 when nobody else are kicking any! To my mind there is no question about keeping him (unless anybody prefers Gillies)!
