  1. You forgot to mention Richmond.
  2. In two years time, why not? He is still young and was effectively a first round pick in our package with Hogan and Dawes. My view is that they will prove to be three very astute long-term pick-ups!
  3. They are our landlord and also we used to be the MCC Football Club when I started following the Demons. Maybe if we stack the board we can send the filth packing back to Victoria Park or Etihad?
  4. Nothing new that I could see; it is still as hopeless as ever! Why aren't they promoting Darwin packages more strongly?
  5. I also agree with your optimistic wish list however I a optimistic that Sylvia will also stay and surprise his detractors by playing to his (First Round) potential!
  6. We have a swag of players playing at Casey, who can be traded before Fitzy and we may even have Priority draft picks. Surely we can manoeuvre to gain a midfielder without trading off our key forwards or backs. It would be silly to have an elite midfield and then find we cannot field a full forward line due to injury.
  7. Of the five you mention, only three are on the Paddock today, and we have never had more than that available. Effectively what you are suggesting is that we trade our tallest and second youngest forward to leave us with two. What is the logic in that?
  8. The Melbourne Bulldogs?
  9. Rock up on the night! I have never pre-bought tickets for the"G" and you can always get in, even for Grand Final Day. Worst case, you might have to sit up in the gods or wear a jacket and tie and watch it from the Members Bar!
  10. Watts has a better injury record than Clark and Dawes and Hogan hasn't even played a game in the firsts yet. Watts is too good a player to trade just as he comes into his prime and we are not as over-rich in forwards as some think. Trade off Spencer to GWS if we need a mid!
  11. Is both an option?
  12. Fine Essendon $5 Million!
  13. I was staggered to log on and see talk of trading Howe, as Hogan is this year for Casey, Howe is for Melbourne, an excitement machine to compensate for attending and watch defeats. Not since Robbo left have we had anyone near exciting unless you count the now-departed Jurrah and Aussie. Keep at all costs I say as the five marking forwards that everybody speaks of are prone to injury. We need him!
  14. Why isn't Sheed listed for WA. Is he injured?
  15. Loved that Rodan goal! (I am presently in New York and haven't seen any footy for five weeks)!
  16. Why on earth shouldn't we be given priority over the Bulldogs? Our record over the past 5-6 years has been far worse than ours! Also on top of that, we are the only team in the AFL who has been officially found to be "not guilty of tanking"! On that score alone, surely we deserve a priority pick!
  17. Thanks Doc!
  18. It sounds as though Clisby has usurped the Co-Captain's spot as a rebounding Backman. Is Grimes long-term best position in the Centre or Back (assuming we pick up some excellent midfielders at draft time)?
  19. Salem went to the same school as Chris Dawes and Jack Watts (Brighton Grammar). Might be a good omen but I suspect Sheed is what we want.
  20. Fully agree! Keep Fitzy and trade Spencer. Fitzy is potentially more versatile as a forward/ruckman! Maybe GWS will swap Fitz for Taylor?
  21. Offer them Spencer for Taylor! Win-Win!
  22. Happy to keep Rodan along with Davey. Both have something to contribute on and off the field with their experience.
  23. When was Scully a rookie? He was No. 1 draft pick!
  24. Everybody is saying that with the win over the Ndoggies we have blown all chances of a PP. Why? Has the criteria changed that much; it used to be that if you had under five wins for two consecutive years you were a Monty?
