  1. Being #2 behind GWS means little as they don't want him. Surely there are others in contention and/or he will still be available for a later pick?
  2. Great videos thanks Guys. i particlarly enjoyed the first one to see all those goals against Carlton's VFL side.
  3. It was disappointing to read the Hun article this morning, with the departed James Magner slamming the Melbourne Football Club for being dysfunctional. Although the people that he criticised are now gone (Neeld and Craig), he is certainly going about things in a strange way if he now trying to promote himself into another AFL Club. I realise that he has had supporters in 'Land (me included for a while) however the reality is that he was not up to AFL despite securing 52 touches in his last VFL game. It is somewhat ironic that he now plans to work on his fixed gear bike business as possibly this was his greatest failing! http://www.heraldsun.com.au/sport/afl/exmelbourne-midfielder-james-magner-still-looking-for-reasons-why-he-was-dumped/story-fni5f91a-1226750874105
  4. After all we did start life as the Melbourne Cricket Club Football Club (and it is a shame that we didn't stay as such). Absolute travesty that Collingwood, Richmond & Co. call this their home ground whilst we get shunted off to either play home games at Etihad or Sunday 'twilight matches'!
  5. Never really played either footy or cricket although I went to school with Carl Dietriech and other AFL players. Did manage to get an Australian Government Sports Acheivement Award in another sport but AFL is definately the best spectator sport in the world, even though I chose another direction as a participant.
  6. Gawn was pick #36 and Fittzy was #50, hardly low draft picks like Morton.
  7. Why not? Even though he was out-of-favour, Aaron always lifted the side when subbed on this year and Alwyn is a chip off the old block!
  8. At least the recruitment of (Collingwood Captain) Moore worked out, despite the other two being major duds. Moore even won a Brownlow playing for us if i recall!
  9. After reading your link I can only agree. There are better options around. This guy makes Fevola look responsible.
  10. 11. Round 1 > Another variation Back: Colin Garland, James Frawley, Dean Terlich Half-back: Jimmy Toumpas, Tom McDonald, Jack Grimes Centre: *Nathan Freeman, Jack Trengove, Bernie Vince Half-forwards: Jeremy Howe, Chris Dawes, Jack Watts Forward: ,Dean Kent Mitch Clark, Jesse Hogan Followers: Max Gawn, Nathan Jones, Dom Tyson I/C: , Daniel Cross, Jack Viney, Jack Fitzpatrick Sub:Clisby Emergencies: McKenzie, Rory Taggert, Matt Jones.
  12. Nathan should also convince his brother to withdraw from the national Draft and opt for the Pre-Season Draft where we have #2 pick.
  13. And it was the reverse with Mitch Clark!
  14. Surely only as a rookie? Hopefully we can use our picks #40 and #57 to fill needs (after taking an elite midfielder at #9) and we still need to keep a space for Cross on our senior List for the next year (or two)!
  15. Yes however our second pick is #40 and we would be wildly optimistic if he slid that far. Maybe we should let him develop at another Club and then come across to us in two years time when we are ready to have a tilt at the Finals?
  16. Not much help with GWS holding the pick before us. Cannot see why they wouldn't pick him up?
  17. I like this (with Collingwood below us in the bottom half of the eight)!
  18. Can we get back to Dom Tyson on this thread?
  19. They did the same in trading Podsi to Adelaide for a late pick!
  20. My suggestion with Jamar was directed at pick #29 which rumour has that GWS does not plan to use. It would be mighty handy to ushowever (Zac Jones?) and i am sure that Jamar would assist in their ruck depth.
  21. Rather trade out Jamar [who we had had good service from]! The other three all owe us some decent footy that maybe Roos can successfully extract out of them.
  22. What did they have to say Young Dee?
  23. If we draft Christian Salem, it would mean that we would have three players from Brighton Gammar School. The other two are Jack Watts and Chris Dawes.
  24. Instead of de-listing another player, why not trade Jamar to GWS today for their pick #29 which they are not likely to use (but which would be helpful to us)?
  25. One must also take into account pick #9 who presumably will be a top midfield gun (albeit not in 2014 but watching Ollie Wines this year you cannot discount the possiblility)!
