Can either of them back-up ruck?
-
Good point.
-
Yep. In fact I'm worried that the haphazard way in which the AFL is putting this together will be ignored if it doesn't take off, with people like Bandicoot crying "see? I told you no one wanted to watch women's footy hurrr durrr". Amazing that the biggest threat to the women's league is the AFL's inept administration.

Holding the ball / prior opportunity / incorrect disposal
Bluey's Dad replied to Bluey's Dad's topic in Melbourne Demons
And apparently they aren't even professionals. They have real jobs and this is a side gig. Umpiring needs to be 100% professional, with a big talent pool so they can be dropped when they stuff up. -
Why put the mozz on us Andy?

The Jesse Hogan Panic Room - all contract talk here
Bluey's Dad replied to Grapeviney's topic in Melbourne Demons
Yeah? Well I'm his smiling coach! -
Great find. I blame the umpires more than McLean though. Players will whatever they can to get free kicks, it's a competition after all. The umpires are the ones who are supposed to see this crap for what it is and police the game correctly.

Then why post? Or even open the thread? Dislike button required. [censored]

Clearly Kennedy. No one will see him coming. Literally.

I'm glad this is being taken seriously. If he ends up displaying something like this, I would be seriously worried: That display is sickening, I hope nothing like that ever happens to Brayshaw. If he has to sit out the rest of the year, so be it.
-
I actually think he will. We won't know for sure until it happens, but the way he got himself back into the game on Sunday to me shows that he's over whatever mental demons he might have previously had. In fact I wish more of his team mates lifted in the second half as he did.

As strange as the run-up is to watch for us, it was clearly working last year. I reckon this year it might be above the shoulders.

Holding the ball / prior opportunity / incorrect disposal
Bluey's Dad replied to Bluey's Dad's topic in Melbourne Demons
Good post. -
Interesting. Is this why he seems to circle the ball over both feet at different points in his run-up? Sometimes I can't tell which foot he's actually going to use.

Those are some Cloke level stats right there.

Holding the ball / prior opportunity / incorrect disposal

It's this "reasonable time" that gets me as well Skuit. It seems to be adjudicated differently, even within games. -
Holding the ball / prior opportunity / incorrect disposal
Bluey's Dad replied to Bluey's Dad's topic in Melbourne Demons
Normally I'd agree and wince. This time I started one because I'm genuinely confused by what happened yesterday, to the point where I think my understanding of the rules is incorrect. -
This is what gets my goat up as well. There's never been a moment when they took responsibility for injecting players with drugs. Or I guess there was and then they pretended it didn't happen.
-
Ah of course. As long as he uses the opportunity to display his peacock strut in both games, I'm all for it.
-
Petracca named in both Casey and Melbourne teams? Am I missing something?

MATCH PREVIEW AND TEAM SELECTION - Round 8
Bluey's Dad replied to Demonland's topic in Melbourne Demons
First I laughed. Then I agreed. Now I'm sad. -
First paragraph: But the council says the surface is not fit for football and the match would have been moved, regardless of whether Melbourne was training. Headline: Melbourne FC training forces Cranbourne Eagles off Casey Fields oval WTF Journalism!?
-
I'm a massive fan of the sub rule. Without it, Collingwood would have had to play Kennedy for full games and they'd have realised how good he is. Mwahahahahahahaha

How much football have Demonland members played?
Bluey's Dad replied to Nasher's topic in Melbourne Demons
I'm told footballers actually do all right with the ladies.
