  1. My first crack at a round 1 team FB - Jetta - Dunn - Garland HB - Lumumba - TMac - Grimes C - Vince - Viney - Watts HF - Petracca - Pederson - Howe FF - Kent - Hogan - Garlett R - Jamar - N.Jones - Tyson INT - Brayshaw - Gawn - Cross SUB - JKH/Salem EMG - Frost - Bail - Toumpas Dawes is obviously suspended which allows Pederson to come in and play a half forward role and maybe pitch in with the ruck work (rotate with Gawn?) I can see that many people cut Grimes from their round one squad. Being our (co) captain, I expect him to take it up a notch next year. Fingers crossed. With the addition of Garlett in the forward line, JKH just squeezes into the side as the sub while Salem should also be considered for the role (although I'd prefer him to play midfield and half-back). Hoping Howe returns to the forward line as well, but wouldn't mind if he stayed down in defence. No guarantees Bernard Vincent will be a available for selection considering he's coming off a shoulder op. I'd expect Salem to slip into his spot if he's unavailable for selection. Toumpas extremely lucky to miss out.
  2. No pickles either.
  3. Beyond a steal. This is theft that could see us locked away for the next decade.
  4. I know it's early on but when do the new draftees start training with the rest of the team?
  5. Great interview with Christian and Angus. http://www.afl.com.au/video/2014-11-27/petracca-and-brayshaw-bolster-dees-midfield
  6. Think the club had a hunch that McDonald would slip to 53. Would've have jumped at him at 40 if otherwise. Great to see another pair of brothers at the Dees, let alone McDonald's!
  7. Alex Neal Bullen at 40
  8. Chance for McDonald still
  9. ...Speechless...sad day for sport.
  10. Now that my exams are all finished, I was able to pop down to Goschs and enjoy the sunlight and a good training session Some rough observations - There was a real focus on running exercises this session. Plenty of repeat sprinting and lap running. - Mckenzie and Jamar looked incredibly fit - Small group (rehab?) consisting of Vince, Terlich, Gawn and Tommy Mac. Vince and Terlich ran laps for most of the session - Caught a glimpse of Billy Stretch and he looks very slick. Good mark and kick. Don't expect him to play much senior footy next year but he's showing good signs early. - Hogan was practicing his goal kicking. It's an awkward style which had him kicking around 50-60% of his shots - Captain Jones was very vocal (as always) - Jeff Garlett looked right at home. Hitting targets while showing off his skill and pace. - Was able to see Sam Frost in the flesh for the first time and he is a huge unit. Will fit nicely down back with Tommy Mac. Didn't see Kent or Salem.
  11. 1. Christian Petracca 2. Paddy McCartin 3. Angus Brayshaw Cockatoo is too much of a risk at three for mine. I've seen his highlights and he looks fantastic, but I wouldn't be willing to use pick 3 on him based on a single performance.
  12. I believe Cameron The Bruce is there as a coaching assistant. Also, congratulations to Ooze! Hope to see him or Bruce back at the Dees someday.
  13. Premiership - Port Adelaide Brownlow - Travis Boak or Nat Fyfe Coleman - Lance Franklin Bluey - Dom Tyson Rising Star - The Incredible Hulk Wooden Spoon - St Kilda or Western Bulldogs
  14. In 2012 we beat Essendon, GC and GWS x2. At this stage, both GC and GWS were being smashed every week. This year we beat Carlton, Adelaide, Richmond and Essendon, all of which were finals contenders this year.
  15. Phantom drafts I've read didn't have Gysberts being drafted until the mid 20's. Unbelievable we took him at 11 when could've picked a half decent tall like Carlisle or Black. Sigh.....
  16. Around 6 wins (maybe 7-8) would be a decent improvement and a pass mark for mine. The addition of Hogan along with Jeffy, La Bamba and Frosty will hopefully contribute to some improved performances. Not expecting any miracles next year.
  17. I'm slightly leaning towards Lever but then again, I'd be pretty satisfied with either McCartin, Wright or Petracca (if available).
  18. Flawless.
  19. There are now talks of Adelaide offering pick 10 for Trengove http://www.heraldsun.com.au/sport/afl/adelaide-crows-look-to-trump-richmond-deal-for-melbourne-midfielder-jack-trengove/story-fn69a32t-1227086871581?from=herald+sun_rss Stay with us Trenners.
  20. Risk and reward situation and the positives outweigh the negatives here. This guy has something special. I hope he's still there at 23.
  21. It's Getting Better all the time.
  22. Hopefully he still has plenty of zip. I can't believe we basically picked him up for free. It feels great to have a legitimate small forward again.
  23. Now don't be koi.
  24. You krilled it.
  25. If we don't get any deals done with pick 2 or 3 then definitely draft Brayshaw and Petracca. Along with Viney, Tyson, Toump, Salem and the continued support of N.Jones and Vince, our midfield will be set for many years to come,
