Like I said just prior to the trade period, I ran into him in Germany. He was a very fine young bloke and was willing to chat for 10 - 15 min, he didn't have to, but he did. Very quickly I could tell he didn't want to talk about footy (we predominantly spoke about travel), and as discussed in his recent interview it took its toll. After that I very quickly went to his corner, and my word I'm hoping he thrives at the Dees, for both him personally and us a club. Get around him!

Where are all the "we should have selected Martin over Scully or Trengove" people now? YES Martin is a gun on field but he has far too many off field misdemeanors, and quite frankly is a complete F***WITT. I highly doubt he would have stuck around at the Dees this long anyway, and if he did he would be a poison towards the clubs culture, particularly off the back of the Maloney and Sylvia party days.

Training Photographs - Friday 4th December, 2015
ignition. replied to Six6Six's topic in Melbourne Demons
Nice work Six6Six! Some of the boys looked to have bulked up a little, Watts and Hunt are good examples. -
Well they're scum, we know that. But if other clubs begin to venture into the women's competition it only provides more competition and is probably a good thing.

Here it is from his Instagram stating: jtren9Admittedly coming from a low base, but progress nonetheless. The return of the calf continues... #babymoomoos #runforestruuuuun

Great thread idea McQueen. I really rate Trengove for his resilience and ambitious attitude. He's hungry to play again and I know I'll be there the day he gets back. With that said I'm really hoping he can have that day in the sun for the Dees, and further become a consistently selected best 22 player in a team pushing for a premiership. I'll re-find and upload a particular shot from his instagram or twitter I have in mind.

Jack Watts: OOC Free Agent, likely to be UFA? - I've always had the faith with Watts, here's hoping (again) that he can have that "break out" year. But overall wouldn't break my heart if he ventured elsewhere. Chris Dawes: Last year of an expensive contract? - Thank goodness, free up the money for Hogan. Heritier Lumumba: Didn't deliver value, contract may provide protection - Contracted to 2017. Jack Trengove: It will be some sort of miracle if he gets back - Here's hoping he can come back and be the AFL player we once hoped. Ben Newton: There's a lot of competition for spots now - He needs to step it up or his head will be on the chopping block. Cam Pedersen: A one year contract - Pedersen vs. Dawes. Viv Michie: See Ben Newton Jay Kennedy-Harris: See Ben Newton - Was the flavour of the month at one point, I'm still and fan and would love to see more. Jayden Hunt: This year it's time to show something - He can only play at the VFL level for so long, needs to show something or he'll be cut. Hopefully he can have an injury free run. Jack Grimes: See Jack watts - I've been patient with Grimes so far, it will be his do or die year. Jake Spencer: Back up ruckman is a precarious role - At this stage he's required on the basis if anything was to happen to Gawn. But he does need to improve his game considerably. James Harmes: See Cam Pedersen - The glimpses shown by Harmes this year were impressive, I hope we see more. Matt Jones: See Ben Newton - Youngsters looking to overtake, I doubt he'll make the cut. Dean Terlich: Only saved this year by his contract - I doubt he'll make the cut. Max King: Must continue to improve - He can only play at the VFL level for so long, needs to show something or he'll be cut.

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - JOSHUA WAGNER
ignition. replied to DemonLad5's topic in Melbourne Demons
Thank you for the heads up. May I ask who the main driver behind the Oliver decision / influence was? e.g. who was the man to promote / back him: Taylor, Viney, Roos, Goodwin, etc.? -
Well I'm done. Night all
-
Hahahahaha probably
-
If Mathison gets to us at 41, I'll cream my jeans. I think there's a strong chance the Saints will take him at 40. EDIT: I expected him to go in the top 20.
-
I wrote that before he was selected.
-
Mathieson, Balic, and Cole... come one!
-
Nope neither has Mathieson or Hibberd. I'm hoping one slides to us.
-
Completely agree, I like hearing the different voices read out the name and number. This is just miserably slow.
-
LOL Essendon f***** those last two selections.
-
Still Mathieson, Balic, Hibberd, and Partington available. Hoping like crazy one gets to us. EDIT: Spoke too soon.

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - SAM WEIDEMAN

Hoping like crazy Mathieson doesn't get to the bombers in the late 20's. Really hope he, Tucker or Balic slide to one of our late picks, but I doubt it. -

We'll be seeing the comparison of Oliver and Weideman vs Parish and Francis for the next 10 years. Here's hoping we have the better of the two. Quietly after Oliver I was hoping Parish would slide, but am still very happy with Weideman. -
Thanks. Got it working on a borrowed phone. It's not getting aired via the website / PC.
-
Thanks mate, I have a feeling it will start at 6:30 pm so the commercials should stop soon. Are you watching via your phone, tablet or PC?
-
How will you all be watching the draft tonight? Don't have FOXTEL and would have been watching it from my phone (In-app subscription/ not live pass) but broke it two days ago. Does anyone know if you can stream it through the AFL website "Live Pass" login??? If so I'll just pay the $5 for a "weekly pass".
-
I'm just hoping we land the better two of Parish, Francis, Oliver and Weideman (hoping Ah Chee or Milera go to the Suns). I have no idea who will be the best in a few years time, I just hate the bombers and want to scoop them nor lose to them.
-
I think of him as a Gumbleton MkII, or at least that's the propaganda I try and sell to the Dons fans.

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - CLAYTON OLIVER
ignition. replied to Freddy Fuschia's topic in Melbourne Demons
Ok then, better not forget Cotchin, Deledio, Macrae, Bartel, Heppell and Polec. All of which you could name next to Parish. Then on the contradicting side there's Rich, Palmer, Ellis, X. Clarke, and Sylvia. Comparing a U18 prospect in this manner is ridiculous, and the argument is very easy to twist.
