  1. You thought I'd draft rock. But it's paper. Bugger, who said scissors.
  2. Cam Mooney could not possibly let himself down. It is what it is.
  3. I know the premise of the OP is best 22 but surely we can't select a side with only an aging, slowing and increasingly injury prone Russian as the sole ruckman, with occasional chop outs from Dawes or Clark? What happens when he goes down?
  4. I can just remember the 25, but stronger memories of his return from the West in 35.Brylcreem, ankle strapping and menace. And twenty years later I always enjoyed the way Balls went about his work - and a great bloke too!
  5. The bus came by and I got on That's when it all began There was cowboy Neeld (sic) At the wheel Of a bus to never-ever land - Grateful Dead
  6. Locker 26 would already have J(ay) Viney on it - or perhaps not with only 23 games for Uncle Jay.
  7. Any references to the trenches and war. It is neither - it's a game FFS.
  8. And to take the Cowboy's point a step further - get a number allocated before Christmas.
  9. "Moneyball" - referring of course to a Brad Pitt flick not sabermetrics.
  10. Perhaps the MFC could take a Riddle, but only in a double pronged attack with Freddie Clutterbuck?
  11. Are you confusing Don or Ted Cordner with Denis?
  12. Don't fall for that gormless diver ever again - that would indeed be bizarre.
  13. He was seen in a moonboot this morning at the club's "reeding in skoolz" programme. Really popular with the kids - signed a lot of autographs.
  14. I had a haircut yesterday and the barber said that he lives next door to Dale Roberts grandmother. She says he barracked for the Dees as a kid. Idolised Woey.
  15. Great idea! The club is in such a strong position that we should tear up millions on a pub. Not with any costings, budgets or business plan. Simply because there's a park across the road. That would be a good one to run past the next Foundation Heroes function. Sheez
  16. In a number of the previous posts Cam got the approbation - WYL noted that it is a broader involvement. Members who can remember the '80s will know the name Peter Maynard. Maxie is up to his neck in this - and more. Go Dees!
  17. Good post. At the Club Lunch on Friday, MN commented that on taking over, and following Misson's appointment, each player on the list was given a personalised sheet of pre-training. On the players' return to the training track he queried Misson on where it went wrong. Misson alleged that 50% - yep 50% - of the list had not complied. MN mused that he hadn't seen "optional" written anywhere. Which led onto some serious comments on buy-in, leadership and the dreaded "culture". I warrant we won't be having this discussion in 2013.
  18. Hilarious bit of trolling. A new high.
  19. Just about the thread of the year. Cite a reference, that doesn't exist; toss in a clue like Petterd and superstar in the same sentence and sit back and watch the knickers twist. Good work Tex (or possibly not).
