  1. Firstly, about the letter. Seems primarily directed at Goodwin, somewhat on a personal, previous experience. Together with speaking for other people as well. The "author" did also seem well aware of how this letter was going to be blown to where it would do damage. That said.... This site is a sitting target for haters, it is well versed in sarcastic, umpire abusing, media reviling, side splitting humour that a lot of blokes here love, god bless them. JKH abuse verged on ra###m for me, and i was not amused. The rest was childish and amateurish in my book and water off a ducks back. The bloke has been the boss for seven weeks. There are blokes still to play, and we have one of the most lauded outfits in the AFL. Give us a break. It only takes one win "next week"
  2. Umpires...... Can't bounce, can't throw straight over shoulder, can't see when ball out of bounce, can't hear abuse, and anyway don't take notice, only from someone they don't like. They are so intelligent too. Like teachers they have pets, one in particular from St Kilda and another from Richmond. Must go to same church or something. You have got to give them credit though, they look nice and clean usually. And a book rolls on......
  3. Old Lou, gradually gave up trying to be serious at the start of WOS, because everyone, namely Bob (Davis) and Ron (Casey) thought he was too funny....
  4. Be carefull all, Max isn't the entire answer. He is a big component and a leader, but he will be singled out like other A Graders, and targeted with boots in the right places, knees groins and thighs etc. We need to develop that more mobile ruckman to back up Max strongly all around the ground.
  5. Firstly, not too concerned about the losses, at this stage. That said, looked hard at Tom . I think it's further up the ground where lies the problem, not all the time but some of the time. He's ready to play on and deliver but the safe option in Tom's eyes isn't there, maybe because no one has made the effort to get there, so he falters. Does anyone else think that maybe we are not fit ( smart) enough yet. We were a long way behind and players have said this is their hardest year. There is so much to weigh up at Melbourne, i don't really care about other teams. We have some wonderfully developing players. I get pee'd off like others but been a real ride back in time for some quarters, hasn't it?
  6. Good summary. Off the ground, Matthews would have to be the biggest hypocrite in AFL Footy with his definition of defining pushing in the back by what sort of jumper you wear and the other on the ground rule which i couldn't understand was the new Hodge lying on the opposition player on the ground rule. Wasting time and preventing MFC and usually Oliver from playing on. This game was totally bereft of free kicks and nothing Umpires who are so blind they probably would not be able to
  7. My compliments to Port, quietly going about collecting a new improved thugs backline with their tilt towards this year's Flag
  8. Would think he likes playing with us, and not them, for a good reason
  9. I have been brought up to be a student of "body language"
  10. No rumour, he just looks unhappy and not fully determined. Particularly his body language, i suppose, like his dad, loved the big stage. We'll see....
  11. That last paragraph ProDee says that i should have been getting much more money back in 1975. I shall take it up with the Club.....
  12. Keep an eye open for moore, my quiet tip
  13. Nobody's never getting none of our big fish.....
  14. Just giving him a rest, same as will probably happen for ANB.
  15. One gets used to reading sentences with commas, semicolons and colons in them.
  16. Yep, like Donald Trump and the world
  17. Sorry, dunno what i'm talking about.....
  18. Instead of ringing up GWS(love in) all the time to see if they are right for players for the next few weeks, the umpires could could figure out how to get themselves in better visual positions during games!!!
  19. Goody just could end up being the "experimental structure king" of the year
  20. Be a long time since we dropped a bloke that kicked three goals?
  21. Nobody would dispute, after TWSNBN, what a top job Cam did yesterday, but i didn't see many" i told you so's" saying we can do without having a First Ruck at the same time as well. In other words Spencer was given his popular and rightful opportunity first and barring injury, he would still be there. Especially for the big boys coming up. Consistency is the mission, and Cam's mobility could, like yesterday, just mean that now we bring more players into the fray.....
  22. The things i noticed were the cuddles he got trying to soften his approach to the game from several TWSNBN players at different times during the game, but it didn't work, did it? Dare i say Bluey....fair bit of catching up obviously....
