They've obviously seen enough in Port's hard fought victories over an experienced Eagles side and a premiership contending Tigers outfit.

But in saying that the bookies obviously think May is a massive out to our system and going to be hard to replace, they might also think Lever might be a bit ginger and propy.

That price will balance up significantly come the first bounce i would say, money will come in late for us.

Already come in to $2.46 but some real value at 40+, paying $13

Hard to rate Port, only played WC and RICH, but I reckon we are a shot at a big win, more than a 8% chance for sure

I reckon this bloke would have sorted him out nicely (and a reminder about how many sleeps to go to the start of the season).

Loved Jacko, followed him from end to end every quarter, possibly the most offbeat and entertaining Dee of all time.

That said… his bark was infinitely more frightening than his bite

Caddy looks like he will be a hybrid forward but could end up developing into an inside midfielder.

Jefferson has shown little to suggest he will be an AFL footballer IMO.

Players like Jefferson typically take 3 years to develop at a minimum. Give the boy some time

I guess that would mean only 3 names, JVR, McVee and Rivers. Who would you put forward?

No one. Their preference is Curtin who will go further down. Multiple first round picks is a no brainer for them

We should be better kicking for goal.  We were much improved moving the ball inside 50 last night but shouldn’t only pull that out in a sudden death final. We need coaches who really want to sort these 2 things out.

Goal kicking really gives me the sh&ts.  As players are running in its obvious they will miss.  As soon as Max started running towards the point post I knew he would miss. Kossie kicks well when he gets good momentum like his second shot.  His first was not his routine.  When Tracc walks in you know he will miss as he leans back.  It’s unprofessional that they and the coaches have not done enough quality goal kicking practice to get their routines nailed down so they can produce under pressure like the last 2 weeks.  The fact we have arguably lost at least 3 and maybe 4 of our finals due to poor goal kicking is a blight on Goody.

To go well in 2024 the club has to stay off   demonland and not buy into supporters excuses about injuries being why we lost. We had all our superstars. WCE got it done without 3 injured All Australians (6xAA between them) in 2018. If the club accepts excuses like injuries then we won’t address the issues in our control.  There needs to be a serious effort to address our goal kicking and our attacking game plan. Our defensive game is elite.

Wasn’t Choco supposed to be the greatest goal kicking coach of the millenia?? I mean he’s even got his patented red stripe goal kicking ball !! What the heck ???

  6. Every one of those delinquents who missed easy shots in the last two games gets detention, sent down to Melbourne Grammar and writes out 10,000 times “I will not miss any more ducken easy shots at goal”

Then they go down to the oval and keep practicing their kicking till their boots wear out, and they are kicking barefoot

  7. Back in the 70s I used to go to every game and sit or stand in the cheer squad. Screamed my guts out and lost my voice every week. You would just roll up and join in the fun.

Now I’m old and I have seats in the Legends near the MCC with the upper class.

My teenage boys look enviously at the colour and noise coming from the cheer squad and beg me to sit there.

So at our last home game I made my way down, but all the seats were reserved and we had to sneak some seats about 20 rows behind (which was actually still a lot of fun)

So anyway, my question is… Is there some way to sit in the cheer squad these days if you don’t have a reserved cheer squad seat ?

To hell with that. We were fined 500k by the AFL. If they do nothing on this latest fiasco, they should give us that money back

Yeah then they gave it all back plus a whole lot more, and a CEO and legendary coach

  9. 1. Choco will fix him

    2. Our midfield will provide much better delivery to him

    3. Carlton will be desperate to get rid of him and will pay half his wage

    4. JVR and Jefferson will take a few years to hit top gear

    5. BBB and TMac clearly on the way out

All adds up to a strong YES

I get what you're doing. Saying you hate them makes them feel as if they're still relevant. Saying you pity them hurts them far more 👏

Absolutely. The pain of the pity during the dark days used to hurt so bad. I can’t wait to feel the glory of the hatred
