…and when Acres or Sheed or whoever we pick is taking the game apart for us we can let him know about it. The one problem I have with some of the reporting on Kelly is the DH who said we had 2 chances to get him. Well technically that is correct but lets just see how he stacks up against Hogan who we did take in his place the first chance.
-
Wouldn't be surprised.
-
I'm really interested in who's available and who we do pick up.
-
It's not the only thing he got wrong, and you're right we should get on with it. I'm just not to keen on re writing history and making him (CS) a victim in this.
-
They know as much as you or I mate.
-
I think Gibbs has delivered, I know he gets a lot of knocks but in most cases they are unfounded. He was a match winner this year.
-
Given the new security standards at the club with no leaks coming out I don't think anyone outside the club has a clue who we will pick and that's a good thing.

New Major Sponsor: Automotive Holdings Group (AHG)
rjay replied to Demon3's topic in Melbourne Demons
I do. We've had sponsors in the past whose stability to say the least left a lot to be desired, then we had some jump in to pick up cheap publicity as the white knights and now we have a sponsor who is stable and wanting to be with us for at least the next 3 years. It gives us stability at the start of the pre season, something we haven't had for a while and it matters to our football club, I don't care what other clubs give a toss about. They haven't had our level of poor administration and off field disasters leading to a total on field melt down. Good work Jackson and Bartlett. Apart from anything else it means one less forum topic for the next 3 years. -
Be watching that one a bit myself, he's always looking for the short option. Maybe that will change with the new coach and game plan.
-
I think it was a huge mistake not understandable but agree with most of what you are saying. The board were at fault here. Sounds like a board member trying to justify his decision, unfair to sack him. What a load of rubbish, if it was unfair to sack CS what about the position Bailey was in surely it was unfair to sack him as well. No it wasn't and both of them should have gone along with the board by years end.

If we're talking Sheed here 'Bob' he is definitely no Mitchell style clearance winner. 'Machsy' described him well on an earlier post, positions himself well to get the ball around the packs.
-
Not so sure, but don't think he will be there either. I think Demonland has put a line through Aish but not necessarily the club.
-
I think we would take Aish if he was available, same with Scharenberg. I don't think either will be available to us.
-
If you've seen Hogan play then you will know there won't be anyone getting inside his head or pushing him around. This kid thrives on contact and the contest.
-
No small forwards please. Holman could be there and I'm pretty sure he's the type we are looking for, 187cm strong inside/out mid hard at it developing well.

New Major Sponsor: Automotive Holdings Group (AHG)

One of the things I loved about the press conference was when a journo asked about AD's plan to be an open and transparent organisation and detail AFL assistance packages as though it would be a problem PJ just reeled off the numbers. No need to wait for the AFL, these are the numbers boys no problem there. Pretty open and transparent I would think. -
That's him…you've described his game well based on the Vic country outing.
-
I thought he was still on holidays early in the preseason. Definitely no presence.

To early to announce the captain? Re signing Frawley…Hogan extension??? Would a new sponsor be announced prior to training? Roos realises how much he has missed coaching and extends his contract?? -
It's what Roos does…it's good to see.
-
Of course it is but that has nothing to do with the article.
-
Can't see anything wrong with the article. Scully is making some headway, I don't see Rohan saying he is a star mid or anything else but in the context of the article he is a regular player, some of the others mentioned have come and gone. One didn't even get to game one. I think many have too thin a skin here.
-
Yep, and he's been told.
-
If available and the medicals check out it's an easy decision. We take him.
-
Because some amateur draft expert says he is top 12 material doesn't make it so. The proof will be on Thursday as per draft position and then the next 1-10 years to see if that ranking is correct.
