  1. It has to be a concern, I'm sure we will do our homework...
  2. I'm not making any comparisons, just saying that McKenzie was a competitor. I don't think that can be denied. Wines is much more than a competitor, Oliver may or may not be, McKenzie was pretty much only a competitor. If we take Oliver, being a competitor will only be one part of the reason...
  3. McKenzie was a competitor. So Parish 2 time AA v Oliver didn't play a game for Vic Country. That's a big call..
  4. ...but then you might risk missing a Judd or a Selwood. I don't think we should take unnecessary risks, it's why I thought we should have stayed clear of Bennell but if they are the cream of the crop and the medical checks out then let's take them.
  5. Picking a teenager in a draft is always going to be somewhat speculative 'bb' regardless of the position they play. The 2 we pick could be the next Silvia and Tambling...
  6. You'd only want to consider his scans, medicals..
  7. Michael Turner...he is always over the top about Falcons players so he likes to exaggerate a little. Interesting though that their only player who was a 2 time AA was Bartel so Parish is in pretty good company, Bartel/Selwood...
  8. Exactly, they're the only results that count. Couldn't give a .....about this testing.
  9. I guess it's all interesting at this time of the year with not much else to talk about. The mock drafts don't really mean much but I would think both Twomey and Quayle have the inside knowledge to get close to the mark. More contacts than a good eye for talent... Whichever way things go I'm thinking we will have a few good kids ready to kick off training in a couple of weeks. We haven't done too bad since Roos has been around. Tyson/Salem, Brayshaw/Petracca, not to mention a few other kids who have shown a bit... edit: yes I know Tyson wasn't drafted by us but it was part of a strategy that had us pick up Salem.
  10. He will end up with a mullet if he gets any kind of cut in Adelaide...
  11. Scully was an accumulator of the ball who relied on running opponents into the ground, his disposal was and still is poor. This kid relies on his footy smarts to get the ball, he is a quick decision maker and uses the ball very well by hand and foot both sides of his body. I'm sure the FD are well aware of his strengths and weaknesses and won't need worry about any red flags.
  12. He's a better kick than Cotchin...
  13. It's never worked for us in the past...
  14. He's not great overhead in the traditional sense of the bigger bodied player or aerialist but he really commits himself which I like, he takes front position and doesn't take his eyes off the pill.
  15. You don't reach with early picks. The FD know who they want with this pick and if it was going to be a reach they wouldn't have bothered trading up...
  16. Depends on his peripheral vision and awareness.
  17. No...
  18. This kid seems to overthink his game which could be a problem for him going forward.
  19. Got off to an early start...
  20. Who will it be next week...it was Mathieson last week, Oliver this week. I can't wait until the next batch of AFL videos come out so you can tell us who the next mistake of the decade will be.
  21. What pick can we get Gilbee for?
  22. If Goodwin & McCartney think he's worth it then we should trust them on this...my only reservation is what WADA have to say.
  23. Happy with both of them 'rpfc', I think Tyson is a bit stronger in tight over the ball but Viney harder at his attack on the ball. My original post was in response to someone calling Tyson an outside mid which he clearly isn't.
  24. Not yet, maybe in 2016.
  25. Tyson is our best inside mid...
