  1. I think that's a good point 'Saber'. They probably wanted to get some sense of continuity but would be better if they rotated all the coaches & a mix of players through, it does get a bit the same. I don't mind "Molly" with Gerard, makes for an interesting dynamic.
  2. Hasn't learned much... Just said "YES" to everything.
  3. When you wake up I think you will find it is all just a dream...
  4. Fyfe is from WA. ...and the only momentum seems to be on this forum. Hi Caro, if your reading. Hope you don't mind the bagging you copped over the tanking saga.
  5. Max always looked good, just didn't get the opportunity early on...injury was a problem and also the FD we had at the time tried to make him into a forward and were playing Spencer ahead of him in the ruck. I remember seeing him in a Casey game when Scully was playing. Tommy Mac and Howe were playing & yet to debut in the AFL. Max had the ruck role and won the day against Ben Hudson. The point is Max was streets ahead of where Mcinnerney is now.
  6. Interesting.... Wouldn't be a bit of the 2nd language would it???
  7. Takes a grab, good pace and a very good user of the ball... If he can get over the injuries???
  8. Thought they might have moved, I used to work with his parents a while back in Melbourne. Terrific people...
  9. I thought they were in Melbourne...
  10. My big problem with Hanley is that he's shown himself up to be very unprofessional in his approach. Seemed to sook a lot this season because he didn't like the coach...and this showed up in his performance and on ground demeanour. Not a good look. I would pass.
  11. I wouldn't take Keilty or McInnerney, both VFL players and I don't see a place for them at AFL level.
  12. Did it as naturally as he does on his right...I've seen it a few times. ...and yes he does need to kick more often, he will get the balance right over the next few years.
  13. One thing I've really noticed in his VFL games recently is that Clayton Oliver is an excellent kick off both feet.
  14. Now what was it the 'Mach' said before about...I remember now. I get the feeling young Laverne 'Daz' has a pretty good relationship with himself. lol...
  15. As I say...he's the Molly Meldrum of footy.
  16. You are right of course & it's why we are not in a position to trade back into the first round this year unless Hogan goes (I would hope not) or we trade next years first round pick (doubtful). We've already traded out or let go of our currency over the last few years in building this list. It's going to be Hibbard, Melcham & development this year...maybe a late value pick & delisted free agent,

What I'm getting at is if what 'Mach5' says is right, and his Geelong mail is usually pretty good then it's a dumb punt. The odds look good but they are because there is no prospect of winning. Forget taking a punt, the club will have a look and the medical people will give it a thumbs up or thumbs down. There will be none of this his legs are f....but hey lets have a punt, he might come good.

Look at the odds.... Would you bet on a lame horse even at 1000/1? Worth a punt? One thing you can guarantee is the club won't be taking a punt.
  19. ....um, both Rookie draft picks and Vanders came from Canberra, originally the South Coast of NSW I think. A fair way from the GC.
  20. Lets hope this lifts the curse and 31 can be a lucky number again (Goodwin our 31st coach)...
  21. Lazy, non competitive and can't ruck...not so sure about this 'Man'.
  22. Maybe take him on as a junior assistant but.... One thing I've learnt from our previous 10 years, with a new coach who has never coached before it's not the time to be blooding new assistants. Even Roos brought his own experienced team.
  23. This comment is patent rubbish... "However, the 28-year-old is confident he has overcome the injury problems that dogged his first three seasons at Melbourne" He's missed too many games again this year through injury and/or "player management" for this to be the case.
  24. I think we've got clearance players 'Andrew', just don't think we played it smart today. I would have put Vince on to Gibbs early in the first Q to cut his effectiveness and cut him out from going 3rd up. However, I don't know what the agenda was in the box. It might have been more about the learning experience.
  25. So you thought our kicking game was good??? We are still in desperate need of good kicks...
